Edit @ 6:10 p.m.: It looks an accident, but the injury is very life threatening at this point according to a source.
Edit @ 6:15 p.m.: Pronounced dead at Wise Regional.
Edit @ 6:18 p.m.: Appears to be two or more kids/young adults shooting a 22 around a pond. All signs are of no foul play.

Hearing several sirens now.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene of a shooting Thursday around 4:30 p.m. on Kincannon Lane near New Fairview. Officers on the scene said a 19-year-old had a gunshot wound to the chest, and CPR was in progress.

So how long before this stuff shows up on crime reports?

Saw a wreck at the intersection of 380 East/West in Decatur mid morning today. Lots of folks there to help, but couldn't help but wonder how many of these "helpers" were necessary?

this was first reported @4:39 pm on thur am thoughts, almost instantly as call was dispatched to deputies, and reports followed with scanner traffic in real time..i'm very sad, i have a 19 y/o son who likes shooting his 22 with some other friends and i worry about this sort of thing.

Prayers go out to the family. This is tragic and yet some of you never seem to amaze me. Driving by taking pictures with your cell phones? How morbid can you be? How would you feel if it was your family? Show some respect people...someone just lost a loved one.

Another EMS headed out of Bport yesterday towards the Bay. Did a U-turn and headed back to Bport turned right on 1658 ended up in the abandoned Devon parking lot with several officers cars. Not sure what was going on there but EMS seemed very lost.
