I guess I don't get how this is news. How is other people's pain our entertainment?

10:19, it isn't. Who said it was? News and entertainment can be two very different things.

While reading the agenda for the todays commissioners court I saw were the City of Aurora(David Wood) wants to start a Fire Department. The same David Wood that resigned as cheif from Rhome because he needed to spend more time running his business and with family. Seems like getting a new one running is going to take more time. I live here and would like to know how much this is going to cost the residents compared to what we are paying now for fire service. Are we going to a have voice in this or is the city just going to push this on us and raise our taxes.

I don't think he is using this as entertainment, he is wanting to find the facts out and to see if it is true. If it is true then it would be to our interest to know the dog has been caught and not on the prowl to maul someone else.

And the Club at Runaway Bay will be closing with the new Owner any day....If the Liens are paid.....

If anonymous 4:27 was really concerned with what is going on in Aurora, perhaps he/she would attend a few council meetings? Or call city hall and get facts straight before mouthing?

4:27 "...Are we going to a have voice in this or is the city just going to push this on us and raise our taxes(?)"

I would say that since the City of Aurora, like all other cities in the USA, is administered by a city council duly elected by the registered voters within that city, then "yes" ... you are going to have a "say" in this decision.

Since it did'nt make the Update, maybe the S. O. didn't want it to be known that there is a major problem with animal control in the county, all you have to do is read the local papers. The animal control officer's hands are tied because they have no place to go with the animals that are causing problems.

Did anyone ever come up with an explanation at to what happened to the $200,000 the county received for an animal shelter?

Just probably several people seeing 4 dogs attacking a woman that really wasn't happening!! I think it was also very stupid for the Sheriff's Dept. to send 3 or 4 units and a Rhome unit to the scene of a false 911 call!! Somebody needs to be held responsible for wasting our taxpayer dollars and endangering the lives of our law enforcment!! Things like this DO NOT happen in Wise county!!!!!!
