Majority No More

I would think this would be bigger news today:

In Texas, the 2006 figures showed that 49.1 percent of residents were white, non-Hispanic; 35.9 percent Hispanic; 12.4 percent black and 3.8 percent Asian. In 2004, Texas joined Hawaii, New Mexico and California as a majority-minority state according to Census Bureau data.

(DMN story.)

Edit: And illegals are on their way to becoming legal.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..." - isn't that engraved on the Statue of Liberty? Guess we have no use for that anymore. Might be best to just tear the whole f*cking statue down and send a real message to all those Mexican terrorists invading our country.

When the Statue of Liberty was raised w/ that inscription, immigrants received none of the vast amount of resources that become available immediately to those that immigrate today. It is an apples-to-oranges comparison. Back in the day, the impact on our economy was largely "quid pro quo", that is, they only could "take" relative to what they "contributed". Far, so very far, from the situation today.
