All the buzz yesterday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis involved a supposed score of “6” by Texas quarterback Vince Young on the Wonderlic test. That test is supposed to measure the size of your brain. 50 is the highest. 0 is the lowest.
A sample test is

He did much better that anticipated. Did his tutor not attend?
Duh..... me Vince.... me play football....
What was it, 3 years at UT? I took the test and got eight right and had time left to find the one I got wrong. This test is probabaly easier than the 5th grade TAKS test. I don't see how Vince scored a "6" out of 50 - even if he guessed at every question. Something must be haywire here.
Geesh.(to quote Barry) I scored a 9 with half of my brain tied behind my back. What was Paris Hilton's score?
The site quotes:
A breakdown of the scoring looks like this:
50= highest possible score, superior intelligence
21= average intelligence
14= equivalent to unskilled worker
Below 14= moron
I'm sorry, "Below 14=moron" cracks me up.
I hear Mack Brown threw a fit over Young's 6. Now they've supposedly rescored or regiven the test. But if a guy can stay eligible for 3 years can't score over 20, there's something wrong at the school. What about it UT?
Supposedly he actually scored a 16..which is still horrendous! Moron isn't even appropriate for someone who couldn't correctly answer more than 14.
He's got a strong arm, quick feet and seems to make pretty good decisions toting a football. Scoring a 6 will probably drop his signing bonus from $10 million to $9.99 million. Ouch.
Does it matter? He seems to be smart enough on the football field. Has every one already forgotten what he did to USC a little over a month ago???
