. . . that claim you are "to the right of Ronald Reagan", I've found your candidate for Texas Governor.
His biography sounds like a good old Wise County kind of guy. But then read his position on the issues.
You support his positions, right?
This guy is clearly a right wing nut. Unfortunately, you are probably right that many in Wise Co would be inclined to endorse his goofy positions. What a jerk!
I'm going to put him on the ballot in Wise County just to see how many votes he does garner. Now who to run him against...
Who am I kidding, if there was a "Master of Wise County, Lord of the Dance!" he would win in a landslide. We've got the perfect candidate here, folks. DA Sharpe, eat your heart out.
I am a conservative and proud of it. I do not believe I would vote for this guy. But at lest you know what he believes. That is more than you can say about liberals.
Hey all you liberals out there tell us what you believe?
I think everyone here would label me a conservative (heck, they've added bigot and a few others in the past) and I don't really believe this guy would get 10 votes. There might be a few that chose him just because they always pick the person they don't know but I feel he is out of touch with what God expects from us. On the other hand, I do know many home-schooled children that can write better than some of the folks here who bash home-schooling so I don't see problems there. All the while, my children attend the lovely Decatur school system.
Now I homeschooled my daughter for grades 6-9 and she went back to school way ahead of the other students, scored well enough on her SATs to get a free ride for college.
Homeschooling in and of itself is not a bad thing I did it because my daughter wasn't be challenged and she was being forced into a mold and she is an original. By the time she went back to school she was confident enough in who she was to not be swayed by peer pressure.
I think that there are parents out there who are simply commited to giving their children a better education than the public school system offers. Homeschooling does not mean that we are teaching them weird ideas or creating lunatics.
W-O-W. Ok, I'm a card-carrying 'right-wing' conservative Republican, BUT I won't be votin' for this guy! Holy Weirdo, Batman, "execution for homosexual acts?" I mean, c'mon, I just want them to go back to their closets, don't want them strung up for Pete's sake.....
...miz gina - I applaud you for homeschooling your child. I've known lots of these kids - they are bright and do well if their parents choose to put them into public schools.
..we ought to leave these home schooling folks alone and set about making the public schools better.
..maybe we can start by getting rid of those brain dead politicians in our Texas government.
I'm not under the impression Baptist live in the Old Testament.
Does it ever strike you as it does me that when reading the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus took some of God's old covenant laws and made them even tougher? Of course, it deals with what is in our heart as much as our actions.
This guy is as far away from what Jesus' expects as many people right here in Wise County are to the other extreme.
Are you tired? worn out? burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with Me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with Me watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythm's of grace, I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Matthew 11:28,29 It's all about the grace
The man has a picture of an aborted baby on his home page. Talk about "Shock and Awe". He has some pretty sadistic views and twisting God's word to defend them is disheartening to this conservative Baptist. If he makes it to the ballot, he will NOT be receiving my vote.
You are partially correct as usual. He must be a conservative in that he is not afraid to publish his position on hot button items. No liberal has that type of fortitude.
Anon 5:15 - You are WRONG (as usual). I am liberal and I have time and time again stated my opinions. It's been a while since I have jumped into any discussions because everytime I do, no one listens, they just say, "Aw he's just a liberal." (Or they just act childish, by calling me littlecatpussy) Yet, they don't come up with any valid opposing arguments to anything I say.
Oh, for gosh's sake--that was YOU that anon was talking to in that post??! I didn't make the connection...[sheepish].
And, I, for one, only completely discount you when you talk about chicks, bigcatdaddy. That whole, "Yes, I would!" business. Sheesh. ;-) I can SO see you & Barry hangin' in a bar....
You mean, you've actually got TASTE in chicks, 'daddy?? I just thought you "WOULD!!" any of 'em. But, hey--Barry does need some fans of the same feather....;-)

What a douche bag. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there who will vote for him.
bigcatdaddy, you must be from the east coast...Haven't heard that expression much since coming down here... LOL.

I noticed that his wife home schools their three children. We have three more weirdos to suffer through after this one.
6:59 - great comments. This guy would likely warm Sharpe's heart. A political meetin' and a gospel meetin' all rolled into one!
Why don't these political types just grab up a bunch of ignorant folks and start a church?
What a goofball!
At lest you know where he stands
I have ask a number of times on this blog what does a liberal believe I have yet to get an answer
I am a conservative and proud of it. I do not believe I would vote for this guy. But at lest you know what he believes. That is more than you can say about liberals.
Hey all you liberals out there tell us what you believe?
....so this guy has a belief system?
...come on, he's using that "belief system" to get elected to office.
...in these days, it's the saavy thing to do..
I am fairly conservative and this guy scares the hell out of me.

Just ordered a t-shirt....
and a hat....
They even offer an infant outfit, great for any aspiring two-year old. Decisions...Decisions

He must be a Baptist! Someone needs to tell him that we live in the New Testament! Jesus said to love one another!
Everything change at the cross! God is not mad anymore, He poured out all of His warth on Jesus

..so who needs to go back to school?

Murder never looks good
......why do folks like that want in politics anyway?
..i have great respect for Christians in politics, who live it rather than preach it.
..and speaking of Baptists, Jimmy Carter did a pretty good job of living out his faith while in office. I'd call him a very conservative Democrat.
...and a good man.

This guy is a psycho. If some retard wants to have sex with a dog, put them in a hospital or chop something off--don't execute them.
does execute mean to die all the time, or does it mean to have time in prison?

You don't like my taste in chicks?
And by the way, its "YES I WOULD!!!!!" No comma after "yes", and LOTS of enthusiasm.
You mean, you've actually got TASTE in chicks, 'daddy?? I just thought you "WOULD!!" any of 'em. But, hey--Barry does need some fans of the same feather....;-)
