I've never understood why anyone would listen to him either. I feel the same way about Rush Limbaugh....or even worse...Mark Davis.
I do like Russ Martin's show on 105.3 in the afternoons....he is pretty entertaining sometimes.

Stock deal was due to meeting new subscriber targets. Sirius had 1.1 million at year end 2004 and now has 3.3 million. I wouldn't pay just to hear him.
I never got Howard Stern either.
He isn't funny. He gets the weirdest looking women on his TV show. I have watched it for brief stints while flipping thru channels and most the women look like they have had too much surgery.
I kinda liked him on the radio. I think it was the shock thing..he said things I just couldn't believe and I found that pretty liberating and funny. I like his style; doesn't care what others think, and I admire that.

You know, Barry's description of a Stern broadcast is eerily similar to several of Barry's posts. Especially since both of them tend to leer (in this case post pictures of) at women (girls, really) a fraction of their respective ages.

shows some of you have been in wise county too long. howard stern is a radio genious. whether or not he acts lewd privately like he does on the radio does not matter. he delivers on the radio what people want to hear. his pay, his contracts and his massive load of advertsiing are proof that millions listen to him, and the few of you posters on here that belittle him about his looks or whatnot are just jealous.
he is making money and has done a great job of it. my hats go off to him. without listeners and advertisers, he would be nothing, but he is a big somebody.
get over it ugly people.

I am a Stern listener, but the social proof argument falls flat every-time. Britney Spears must be the greatest music artist of all-time.
I liked his movie "Private Parts" a whole bunch. It was very funny. But his actual show? icky
