That the WCM would actually use the word "truth" as an option in an article about aliens landing here 120 years ago is amazingly sad.

It would only take about 100,000 years for our fastest spacecraft, for us to reach the nearest star with a planet. Easy enough. (Obviously our crash landed alien did not have warp speed capability, or for some reason I think at least parts of its giant, warp drive capable ship would have been preserved.) Plus, we'd have to hope that it has developed life; the chances of which equal one grain of sand on all of California's beaches. PLUS, if we accomplished 1 and 2, we'd have to hope to intersect that planet at a time in its history when it's life forms have evolved similar to us; so that's like winning the powerball lottery. So, in a tiny ship, some life form survived 100,000 years, knew before it left exactly which way to go, that we were here, or got lucky enough to be able to purposely find a specific grain of sand while also winning a powerball lottery. All this, and yet it had to "crash" land, couldn't manage a soft landing. All alien believers, if they are truly serious and not just goofing around, have not even a beginner's level understanding to time, speed and distance, or they'd realize how impossible it is that aliens "come over" and visit.

Closing the campus? For safety? UHhhh...Lets bus them all in and bus them out as well....since they drive to school or drive to lunch or drive home...why draw the line at lunch time only?...One mans accident causes entire school to shut in for lunch is beyond what I can process as making sense.
