For less than $2.00 in ammo he saved the State of Texas miltiple $100,000 trying and jailing these two losers. Job well done.

The writer basically said this story confirmed the rumors...

It did exactly the opposite. We don't live in a country where you can just kill 2 folks on video and the responding cops are given a phone # to verify the guys baddassery-ness so he can be released.

I mean think about it.

I think too many people watched to many movies- Kyle included.

If you cannot find a video of this alledged incident by this time Monday, it didn't happen.

I guess I'm a little different than every one else, I like my heroes to be quiet, humble and unassuming about their conquest(s), a la Scully.

How does on become a hero by shooting people from great distance? I'd apply hero to those who face down the enemy up close or take actions to save their buddies. Whacking targets from a half mile ain't so heroic.

The gas station story is quite questionable. Identify the two dead guys, the station attendant and a couple of responding officers and I'll reconsider.

I admire Bud Kennedy's respone....Confirmed like Teo's girlfriend.

My son in the military says the real heroes are the ones you have to coerce to give a full and accurate combat report including their involvement.

If snipers are heroes, then drone drivers must really be big time heroes! They operate from great distance and take out bad guys that never knew what was coming. Snipers have a dangerous job but not as dangerous as regular front-line troops (and many others).

Not only did Chris Kyle kill two wetbacks, he single-handedly killed out a pocket of liberals in Seagoville before they could sell America to the Commies. I have links!

They make two types of combat soldiers;those that can't talk about it those that do anything but talk. All has to do with ones pyche. If they brag it probably ain't true.

Snipers are hero's because they operate on their own accord. Many times they are in before the "front lines" have even showed up to the area.

If they mess up nobody is close enough to help them out of the situation. They shoot from a distance so they have a chance to survive.
