Breaking news..man shot on cr 4421..suspects, black male shooter with mexican male..white male came home from work and caught these 2 in his home, the black male shot the white home owner, cops and medics on scene..
At&t does suck I called them because I pay them $300 a month for service and they told me nothing was wrong I must be accidentally hitting the hang up button with my face.
How to get around a weak cell phone signal at home:
I live in a rural area that has poor cell phone signals from all providers. ATT makes a land line phone with two handsets that is bluetooth capabale ($60). I bought one at Fry Electronics and linked my Sprint cell phone to it. When I am at home I sit my cell phone at the location in my home that has the best signal. I can then use my land line to answer and make calls using my cell phone signal. I can carry the land line handset as far as 100 yards from my house/cell phone and still receive and make calls. The bluetooth signal is remarkably strong.
You can link multiple cell phones to the land line and the land line does not have to be connected to a wall jack. This means you don't have to have a home phone for it to work with your cell phone.
This does not help people who want to text and brose the Internet.
If you have wifi at home, you can connect your phone to your internet using the Settings, Wifi option. You bypass the towers completely when using this option.
"Can you hear me now?" person. That's Verizon, not AT&T.
If you have Samsung S3 you can download an app called FoxFi and use it as a wifi hotspot to power other devices. You only need 4G for it to work. This wouldn't help you today, but have been using this for about a month and live in the country a few miles out of Decatur. It works so well I am thinking about getting rid of my home internet connection (bye bye Century link). Download speeds are actually faster than my home internet service. You cannot do this with the Iphone. The only kicker is you will probably need unlimited data depending on your usage. I am grandfathered on that plan, if not you may up your data package to accomodate your usage. If it works for you the offset in of dropping your home plan should make up for the cost of additional data package.
Don't ever go with that Indian run phone service by the name of Bondage cuz service sucks so bad you'll have to call them on a regular land line to cancel your service which they may or may not cancel until you've called them like 27 times or somethin.
I heard that on one of the towers here in Decatur they moved their transmitter down 200 feet. From 300 feet to 100 feet, so low areas will not get reception. why IDK but ever since then it has been crap.
A T T sux for sure.Dialing someone ten times is not unusual.Dropped calls are the norm. They told a friend of mine that a tower owned by an oil company was the problem. When you can't get service just prorate your bill.Make sure you record your calls to them.
All bars in downtown Chico, Lindsay & Forestburg...why not Decatur. Here is the reason, They overload the cell tower site for Decatur because of the altitude. Those other sites have repeater devices that receive from our tower and relay them, we are just one BAR until we leave the service or area.

They must be painting the towers.

As soon as all my family's contracts mature, we are moving to Verizon en mass. I pay too much for AT&T cell service and they really are screwing us.

More bars in more places?
