As opposed to what--rooster egg size?

Well, if they had just said egg, how would you know what kind of egg it was?

There's lots of different sizes: fish eggs, hen eggs, ostrich eggs, velociraptor eggs, etc.

Why not call it a chicken egg? There are other kinds of hens besides chicken hens.

I bet Channel 8 will have testicle size hail coming down in Dallas later tonight. Might be larger like Elephant testicle sized hail. It's a hail of a storm.

Is hen egg sized hail bigger or smaller than golf ball and ping pong ball sized hail?

Hens come in lots of varieties. Some hen eggs are no bigger than marble-sized. Come to think of it, not all marbles are the same size either, some of those bigger marbles ones are the size of golf balls, and the smaller can be the size of eggs from certain kinds of hens, which.....and so forth.
