WBAP's Freedom Concert

I really didn't hear much about, but WBAP hosted a Sean Hannity "Freedom Concert" in Grand Prairie over the weekend. If Hannity wouldn't be painful enough to listen to, they rolled out musical guests who make a living singing the same song over and over and over: Lee Greenwood, Charlie Daniels, and Hannah Montana's Baby Daddy. Oh, and Kay Bailey and Rick Perry also showed up to whip the all white audience into a tea party frenzy. Some pics below:
WBAP's Mark Davis and Gov. Perry Posing Like High Schoolers at The Prom
Gov. Perry Getting Handsy
Sean Hannity, no doubt, making your ears bleed
Charlie Daniels And His Belt Buckle
Mark Davis Getting Handsy With, I Think, June Cleaver
A short video of the event is here. And if you are familiar with Mark Davis at all, you've got to see him dance on stage during the Charlie Daniels performance at the 1:50 mark. Dude! (And, amazingly, he was so proud of his performance that he "tweeted" about it today.)

You just wish it was all white...shame on you.

Wow! What a collection of political hacks, has beens and never were. Unfortunately, the Dems don't have any or much better to offer. If only we could elect an opposition house so that they could lock up the legislature and they couldn't do anything. We'd maybe be better off.

The Buckle is a tombstone for a dead pecker....

Keep it up BG and you are going to lose a large number of your bloggees.
What in the world could be wrong with a freedom concert? Whites only? You might want to recheck your facts or lack thereof

That chick that the Gov is getting handsy with is Laura Houston the WBAP helicopter traffic reporter in the morning. Married to Monte Cook, the other traffic reporter.

Don't worry Barry, you're not gonna lose ANY bloggers. And if you do, I'm sure you'll gain some to take their places. I don't really care what you give us. I'm here for the long haul.

4:53 - right on. Just a bunch of Republicans wanting to be like Arnold of California.

Pretty Perry in a movie?

The Republicans are truly grasping at straws.

GO DEMS!!!

You're putting down folks being patriotic who are known for being traditionally good people.

Yet, will defend to the death, a guy who drinks and drives and kills a family on the way to church.

And any bloggers you might lose over this would be a welcome subtraction.

Um Hannah Montana's Baby Daddy????

Hannah Montana's Daddy..well I hope thats what you mean. Baby daddy means she either has a baby or will be having one soon and that he is the father of the baby.

It seems by your acerbic wit that you welcome the demise of a mentality and morality that vaulted this country to previously unknown success and accomplishment.

Do you truly believe what you are wishing for is going to be better than that?

Can you locate Zimbabwe on that googler thing? It could be instructive.

In "God Bless the USA", Lee Greenwood sings the line "I'll stand up next to you and defend her still today." That song came out in 1984, and he has sung that line literally thousands of times. We've had two wars with Iraq and one with Afghanistan since then. He hasn't picked up a gun to fight in any of them. Why is it that the biggest flag wavers are also the biggest hypocrites?

I was in Fort worth today. Tried to meander toward Home depot via Merrick St. and unintentionally passed through Como. Now I'm not gonna say that's nigger-town, but yhere were no whites, mexes, asians, or slavics apparent. Anyway at about the third intersection I rolled through a middle aged black man in a wheelchair made signals to me that he was in need of a phone. I stopped at the curb, rolled down the window, and politely loaned him my cell. He made two calls and brazenly consummated a drug deal right there in the street on my phone.

I'm one of the posters here that you guys like to label a racist. I'm 51 years old and have formulated my opinions based on observation and experience.

Quick question for all you color blind liberal equalists---

How many of you would have even stopped and handed that man your phone?

I haven't seen Billy Joe Armstrong handing out hundred dollar bills to poor people much either

I presume that by "same song," you're referring to Charlie Daniels's greatest hit, Uneasy Rider.

How many thousands of dollars were raised for our troops families and how much was donated by liberal weenies?

Anonymous said...

The pictures alone were enough for me to puke in my mouth a little bit. It's a good thing I didn't happen upon this festival of conservative debauchery, or I might have gone into full-on projectile vomiting spasms.

Amazing how you can dangle one piece of bait and catch two completely different types of fish. Nicely done, counselor.

Has anyone here read any of the stimulus bill? Maybe we could have a civil discussion and informative discussion without name calling? Just asking.

Gotta finally agree with Wordie: Uneasy Rider is CDB's greatest song. Funny thing about ol' Charlie: He toked his way through the 70's and 80's and was quite the anti-establishment rebel, until he realized the big money was playing to the Angry Patriotic White Man, so he sold out and jumped on the Lee Greenwood/Toby Keith/Sean Hannity vomit comet. Oh for the days when he was "toking on a number and diggin on the radio."

6:24 Your opinions are formulated on observation and experience? You then loan your phone to a guy making drug deals? So selling drugs is something you are familiar with I guess and experienced.

Anonymous said...

I'm getting a rash.

wordkyle said...

Barefoot, you're only partly right. He's partied pretty hard in his life, but listen to In America from 1980. CD has been vigorously and vocally pro-American for thirty years, so he's hardly a bandwagoner. He came to the party pretty early.

I like that someone suggests that BG will lose readers to the blog if he "keeps it up." I don't know Barry, but I'm pretty sure that he doesn't rely on page hits for his income. I don't see too many banner ads, pop ups or any other form of paid ads on here.

I do think, however, that 6:24 was part of a crime.

Anonymous said...

I watched that video. That is a bunch of goofy, corny, old fasioned people, granted. But none would steal your wallet or deal drugs. How much do you think you could trust the average attendee at an Obama rally?

Anonymous said...

9:26, That's the stupidest response to a comment I've seen in a while. Has nothing to do with the premise and paints you a complete fool. You didn't exactly answer my question either

Anonymous said...

9:47 Give it up!

Anonymous said...

About as much as you could someone who attended a George Bush - Dick Cghaney gathering. I have never seen a republician that you could trust. They will lie and steal from you at the drop of a hat and drop it them selves. To prove my point, just look around at the ones who post here that call themselves Conservites. The most of them do not even know what a conservite is.They hide behind the cloke of a christian and then want to turn their back on the people who have gotten them to where they are today. They defame the name of people they don't even know, lie to cover up their lack of knowledge on the subjects they espouse. Give me a liberal weenie anyday. At least they will tell you like it is.

Anonymous said...

Yea my crime was being dumb enough to think there was actually a nigger out there who wasn't dealing drugs. That I might really treat a black as the liberals suggest without negative repurcussions.

You're either the same imbecile as
9:26 or there really are two retards out tonight who can type

KBH still pretty hot.

Anonymous said...

BIGOT!

Anonymous said...

Calling us dumb and yet you give a complete stranger your phone to use rather than call the # for him yourself? Now that is DUMB, unless from your 'observation and experience' you were wanting some of the drugs for yourself.

Anonymous said...

Your fixation on me somehow wanting or being part of the drugs is pointless, erroneous, and still not related to the premise I put forth. And the two calls were in fact made just as you suggest would have been prudent, me dialing my own phone and handing it to a stranger. That still gives me no control over his conversation.

But the question I asked remains unanswered. Must have been rhetorical.

Anonymous said...

12:33am Just maybe he tried to help the man out,by handing him the phone to use is no crime. Hearing him ask for drugs is not against the man who loaned the phone but the one who made the call. As all liberals do they blame the good guy. If he hadnt let the man use his phone, you still will find fault with him. Why do you want to see the USA fall to socialism.

Anonymous said...

I wish somebody on here would caption the first pic.

Can we imagine what those two jerks are discussing?

No where but in Texas can we celebrate our freedom like this!

Texans are different for the most part. No one in this conservative crowd would allow Page 425 of the Health Care Reform bill known as Obama-Care to become law. Page 425 mandates US citizens 65 years of age and older to consult with their doctors on end of life care; meaning hospice or pain pills! This group of Texans would fight to protect their grandparents.

It is time to rally the troops and Texas can lead the way. There is something going on all across our country as people are outraged over health care, cap and tax and an economy that is getting worse, not better.

Sean Hannity and Fox News are the only news media that is reporting what is really going on and not worshiping at Obama's feet.

7:18 What is the question?

I object to your using the 'N' word. You seem not see people as individuals, but 'lumped' together to your disliking.

Anonymous said...

11:06--

The question was:

How many of you white, color-blind, liberal equalists would have stopped and offered the use of your phone to a black man in Como?

The niggers are niggers because they themselves tell us so routineley. Whether you like the word or not is completely irrelevant. It's called free speech, and if you want to prohibit my exercising it, you will have to also prohibit its use in the black community. Better get a list together cause cracker, honkey, greaser, chink, slope, slant, white trash, weenie, redneck, kiwi, sheila etc will all need to be included. Go ahead and budget for a "PC speech czar" to make a lot of decisions for you, and throw in some thought police for enforcement.

What part of freedom do you have so much trouble understanding?

8:14AM, you are full of it. Page 425 says Medicare will pay for, not mandate counseling sessions. I sure wish I had something like that when my grandmother fell gravely ill, I barely knew what hospice was.

11:06, Most blacks use the word "nigger", so why can't I? They rarely complain of each other using it. It is even in their music. Is it a freedom only granted to black people?
