What A Crock

I've heard WFAA'a Pete Delkus and whomever the weather guy is on Fox 4 News report tonight there had been "baseball size hail" in the metroplex. No freakin' way. If that were to occur, you'd know it. Cars would be completely destroyed.

The last time I remember baseball size hail was during Mayfest in Fort Worth about seven or eight years ago. I remember seeing a Mercedes in Decatur which had been caught in the storm - it was beaten to death.

Yup. Remember the Mayfest hail storm. My girlfriend's beloved Mercedes was a hunk of holes afterwards.

I remember the famous Mayfest hail storm very well. There were about 6 of my girlfriends and I out for a girl's night and we had stopped by our favorite chinese restuarant in G'vine. The power went out and it was unnerving to say the least. They wouldn't let us leave and told us to order anything we wanted that it was "on the house".

One friend lived over in the Ridglea area and the next day when we went to her house to check out the damage, all her windows had been knocked out. She had HUGE windows in her house that were a full two stories on that side of the house. It was a total mess.

At the Mayfest everyone ran to the Armory located at the end of the park and the poor "Working Joe" National Guard on duty issued helmets and blankets ..etc.

When he didnt get the stuff back the Goverment charged him for the items ...

...Of course the Mayfest hail storm where I was with my 72 virgin girlfriends(all but 1 lost their virginity by the end of the storm)and each of them sustained severe damage to their many luxury cars. I remember meeting with the insurance adjustor over dinner with the royal family where we discussed how great that I am and how God wanted to please me by showing me what he could do with the weather!

My friends, family and I had been at Mayfest 1995 earlier that Friday and were celebrating a couple of birthdays at the Petroleum Club in downtown Fort Worth that evening. When the hail started breaking the upper floor windows EVERYONE including waitstaff and cooks were herded to the lower lobby to wait out the storm. I was SOOOOOO glad our cars were in a parking garage because the random cars that had been unprotected during the storm looked like they had been bashed on with sledge hammers.

I, too, was in downtown Fort Worth during the 1995 Mayfest fiasco. Unfortunately, I did park my car on Commerce St in a parking lot across from the Ramada Inn & some small trees were uprooted nearby & one of them planted itself in my convertible top. I called for a wrecker & was told that they could put me on their waiting list & I could hang out nearby, but would be approx 12 hrs before they could get to me. I couldn't drive my car since the top was completely destroyed & the inside of the car was sitting in approx 6 inches of water. And I think its illegal to drive w/o a front windshield! The good thing to come out of this incident was I learned to read my insurance policy & walked away with a hefty check.
