On my way . . .

. . to Fort Worth I saw that Rhome cam was set up under a bridge but outside the guardrail. I guess this is a way to bypass the red cones as mandated by TxDot.

Noticed in the WCM that the Sheriff has given warning that speed limits will be enforced on a particular stretch of road. So, all you people that think Rhome officials are equal to Germans that gassed little babies...where are you on the Sheriff? Kudos to both Rhome and any other law officer that enforces speed laws. If you don't like it, try hanging with officers for one night as they have to respond to speed related accidents, and you'll see the world they have to deal with. All they're trying to do is save lives.

Put the female officers butt out there in the road, that will protect the camera.

10:24 p/m what a bunch of crap! Sounds like you are not a cop, so you must be repeating what some Rhome cop (or council member) wants you to believe.

For every 25 cars that travel past a marked police, sheriff or state trooper car, one car does not have the fore thought to slow down and gets a ticket. But during this time 25 drivers have slowed down, thus changing driver behavior.

If you hide a camera along side the roadway, 25 people passed and maybe a couple (or more) get a ticket in the mail. How does that "save lives" as you put it. I would also have to ask, how many accidents does Rhome work, and then break that down to accidents were speed was a factor (as apposed to driver inatention, etc).

It is nothing but a cha-ching for the city! Citizens of rhome need to go vote in May and place council members that will concentrate on local issues not local embarrassments.
