The Trinity river at FM 59 east of Jacksboro is running 81 million gallons per hour and is just now starting to receed.
I went to Bowie Sunday around 1400 hours and spoke to a homeowner that got 11 inches total for two days. Amon G is full and Big Sangy should be filling our new lake between 380 and 1810, that's such a waste of good water. It rained so hard TXDOT had to close the right lane of 287 close to Sunset for the shoulder being washed away. Montague will be working on county roads for two months, but GOD what a blessing- Thank You.
I dont know if this official but I heard that lake was up 8 ft.
That's 80,000 additional acre feet of water - so far. That means 80,000 acres covered 1 foot deep (or 1 square foot covered 15 miles high!).
