1. Get the spare tire changed so we are on the road again. 2. Let us make sure the car seat is secure (at some time you have to think). 3.What MORON would not go 1-2-3.
Are charges pending?
Now that is 66 degrees do people take kids out of cars?
What about the babysitter that was suppose to be watching the child, and checking she was clear of the truck when he started backing up. Imagine how she feels. Imagine the parents getting the call at work. My children are 10 and 12 but when someone backs out of our drive and my children are outside,I always check to see they are out of harms way. So Sad.
To anonyNOTHING 8:11... YOU make an EXCELLENT point. Children who THRIVE and SURVIVE typically do so because of RESPONSIBLE parenting and supervision. Keep up the good work.
It is MORE than just tragic that EVERY moment of EVERY day there are children who are killed or harmed because they are denied the care that would permit them to achieve ALL the things available to children who are the beneficiaries of EXCELLENT parenting.
The wonderful news is that some attorney will become a millionaire over the wrongful death suit that will be brought naming everyone that was within 350 yards of said dead child. Aren't attorneys wonderful things?
To anonyNOTHING 11:57... Funny how EVERYONE hates lawyers UNTIL they need one. When the feces hits the fan, the NASTIEST fire-breathing, baby-eating, rat bastard lawyer in town is the one EVERYONE wants as THEIR lawyer.
Ms Forehead, How do you know 8:11 is a responible parent just because he doesn't get the point that I made. Children who don't thrive and survive have parents or a parent that aborted them. All I was asking is where is the sympathy for them?
mzchief, being a responsible parent does not include being perfect. Accidents...true ACCIDENTS, happen everyday. We cannot watch our children 24 hours a day. You cannot tell me that when your children were home alone with you or even playing outside as children do, that you never took your eyes off of them. This was probably just a tragic accident and I feel for everyone involved.

Gosh...that's painful just to read....sooooo sad.
But if it had been aborted, no tears would have been shed.
Whats more important?

6:47 Your lack of compassion makes me sad that you were not aborted.
The babysitter was at the child's home and the car was in the driveway - no carseat needed. The child was probably playing in the yard.
It sounds like the baby got behind the truck and the driver moved before checking.
I don't think it is criminal - but this driver will wear this for the rest of his life.
8:11, People who abort have no compassion either.
Gosh, 6:47, You are COMPLETELY missing the point of the story...
Abortion isn't even relevant. Way to embarrass youself.
I'm sorry. What was the point of the story?
it was news...
it definately wasn't a debate on abortion
The point of the story was news? You really are an aggie aren't you? Do you drive a ford and go below the speed limit in the passing lane too?
