Hey, band competitions are big deals. Those kids work hard, usually starting in early August, and practice hours a day, most weekends. Takes a lot of dedication and discipline, and musical ability. Not a sport? For anyone that thinks that, next August go stand out on a football field with arms extended carrying a 10 pound weight and march in step for a few hours from end zone to end zone while whistling Dixie.
