The stop light at 377 and 114 in Roanoke is not the result of good planning.

I used to take that route to work everyday. Couldn't understand why they could build 114 over the railroad but not over 377. I opted to take 114B thru Roanoke and made better time. Thank goodness I don't have to do that anymore. But I gotta believe we don't see the big picture. Maybe this is a stop gap measure and that a whole new road will be built through there someday..........We can only hope.
You don't have to go to Roanoke to see bad TxDOT engineering, you can stay in Wise County. Look at the exit/feeder road into Highway 380 east of Decatur by the Lumber Yard, etc. An engineer on crack designed that. And what about the feeder lane/crossover into 287 in front of James Wood Motors? Decatur is about to have a new high school with kids using that all the time and you don't see a single effort made or hear anything about TxDOT making any attempt to re-work that for safety. It's got to be one of the most dangerous intersections/places in Wise County. TxDOT is run by a bunch of lazy egomaniacs and BILL NELSON is the WORST.
