Random Driving Observations

Dear people of Decatur: 1. It is legal to take a right turn on red, 2. It is courteous, and legally required, for you to signal your intention to turn, and 3. If you arrive at a four way stop before me, you have the right of way. There is no need to stare at one another and hand gesture to determine who goes first. (Bad lunch time driving experience makes me cranky)

Surely, Barry wasn't driving around me.....I'm a perfect driver. I don't give hand gestures for people to go or get out of my way. It just takes one finger!

I couldn't agree with you more Barry! But you did forget one, "you are to drive in the RIGHT handed lane not the LEFT while driving 20mph, you moron!!!" nothing gets my goat than that one right there...

Referring to ANON 1:43 I don't care who you are that is funny.

Gosh, no kidding. Same song, different verse, for me yesterday. Patiently waiting for the slowpoke across the 4-way stop to go, and the idiot behind me honked!

Luckily, I didn't hand-gesture at anyone...got a closer look at slowpoke...goes to my church.

What gets me is people who pull up to a 4-way stop, and don't signal a turn when they are going to turn. Everybody is deciding as to who goes next, and sometimes 2 people can go at the same time (if meeting each other and neither is turning left). If you don't signal, how are we going to read your mind?

I say if a car doesn't come equipped with a working blinker.....I'd take it back.

We should be concerned about Barry - first his problem with McDonald's and now this?

He may need to set up his practice in Alvord. Course, the train shuts things down once in a while and a whole nest of Republicans live over there.

Can't have everything!

1:42 is one of the reasons so many people seem to DIE on Wise County Roads. "Slower traffic keep right" is not the same as "left lane for speeders only". And that rule does not apply to all roads, especially those in town with lower speed limits. So if you're recklessly speeding and come up behind someone obeying the law, you need to be patient. Or, you can get pissed off and honk and flip off some little 11th grade girl who's driving safely, you big man in your big lovely pickup truck. Git home soon, your little woman has your supper waitin.

Just remember this statistic: everyone thinks he is an above average drive.

You mean people actually stop at stop signs in Decatur? You could have fooled me!! As for me it's those who ignore the stopsigns and those who like to veer over to the left of the crossovers. DRIVE TO THE RIGHT, FOLKS!! This isn't England.
