How In The World Did That Truck Stop So Quickly?

It’s also crazy that the school bus lets off the kids, the boy doesn’t know to cross in front of the bus, and the driver had to see the truck coming, heard the horn, and didn’t brake to see if any of the kiddos were involved...

Rules for school buses are different in Europe. The children are taught and expected to look for and respond to traffic. Vehicle traffic near the bus is fully expected to continue as normal and the children are expected to follow normal pedestrian rules. The kid should have looked to make sure the way was clear before he got into the road. I lived in Europe for several years and had to learn their road laws.

European truck drivers are, on average, better trained and more proficient than the current American drive. Plus, their vehicles are designed for the roadways there and probably have a little better braking and response. In my opinion anyway.
