The Campaign For DA

I Love This Woman!

This is a hearing during a break in the Twin Peaks trial which ended in a mistrial. The prosecutors had met with a witness, learned that he had evidence favorable to the accused, and never disclosed it. People have gone to jail for less than that.

There's an old saying: "If you have the facts, pound the facts. If you don't have the facts, you pound the law. If you don't have the facts or the law, you pound the table." Watch what the dumbest DA's office in the State does.

Reyna is the DA. He is walking around because he is incompetent. The guy doing the talking is an ADA brought in from corrupt Williamson County. And I have some advice for the young, blonde ADA: Run.

Reyna looked like he was sweating profusely as that progressed.

Good for her. The prosecution has the full, practically unlimited resources of the government behind it. Their burden should be much, much greater to prove someone guilty rather than an individual's need to prove themselves innocent. If the prosecution is cheating to win, they need to be held accountable. (Disclaimer: This is from a layman's point of view.)

The prosecutors need to be charged and locked up for a couple of years before they get a day in court.

SPOILER ALERT, YOU DON'T THINK FOR ONE MINUTE THAT WE DON'T KNOW WHAT GOES ON BEHIND THE SCENES IN COURT. IT'S ALL THEATRICS, I PROMISE YOU THAT ALL THOSE ATTORNEYS WENT TO LUNCH TOGETHER THAT DAY AND HAD A BIG LAUGH TOGETHER.

Living proof the bandits are less of a threat to society than a DA with an attitude.

I only saw one blonde in the room and I couldn't tell if she was young or not. She didn't talk or turn her head towards the camera. Skippy, are you seeing things?

Amen 1201. At the end of the day, they all meet at the same watering hole and drink from the same bottle.

A Dallas lawyer by the name of Barry Johnson is moving back to Waco, where he grew up, to run for McClellan County District Attorney. Barry's father owned the first service station in Waco.

Barry Green, a former Dallas & Fort Worth lawyer, went back to Wise County to run for District Attorney. At one time there were 3 Green department stores in Wise County. One in Bridgeport, Boyd and Decatur. There was also a Green owned bank.

It's like deja vu all over again for the Barrys of Texas.

I'm surprised you didn't say "Get Me This Woman!!!"

Been saying this here for years. We have more to fear from dirty cops and overzealous prosecutors than any terrorist.

Nobody on here was assuming it wasn't from a layman's point of view I can assure you!

Question to lawyers out there: Are any of the following actions possible in light of the defense allegations?

1. Dismiss charges with prejudice? (I know judge said NO during video).
2. Sanctions against DA staff responsible for withholding the info? (cash fine or otherwise)
3. Judge instructs the jury that the DA withheld info from defense? (I think that would raise questions in a juror's mind).
4. Allow the defense to amend their witness list in light of the new info?
5. Judge appoints a Prosecution Master who's only role is to verify Reyna and his staff are playing by the rules and report directly to the Judge?

I admit it, convoluted questions. I watch too much Matlock. Of course the case ended in mistrial, so it is all moot. Or is it?

I'm starting to come around and agree with you on this.

Reyna knows that saying. But really, if the facts don't support the State's case, the State should not be prosecuting.

Man, that lady lawyer!!! Wow!! I'd do her in a heartbeat. But I sure wouldn't hang around afterward and talk to her. That one is strictly a drive-by.

I will be supporting the Bandidos toy run instead of county fundraisers after seeing this.

Wordkyle - rarely do I agree with you, but this time you're spot-on. Nicely said.

Attorney is synonymous with crook. They are all in bed together and usually are liberal commies.

That blonde did run. She came straight out of Smith county's DA office to saddle up with Reyna. I doubt if this is her first go round of playing hide the ball.

Question is Barry, will you be filing an grievance with the state bar?
Don't you have an duty to report misconduct?

It's probably a fair bet that this material has not been turned over to the other 154 defendants with identical indictments.

Counselor. I have not followed this case, but might guess would be that the state has at least some credible evidence to substantiate the charges brought against these guys, yet are you are criticizing the prosecution for not following the rules (which I agree with by the way). I thought the most sacred of all rules of our land was the fact that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

Yet here you are, along with a host of others, convicting a man (Roy Moore), on nothing more than allegations made by people relating to events they claim occurred over 40 years ago. Seems to me that you have a very selective sense of right and wrong my friend.

202 - I put that in to avoid presenting myself as some sort of expert on the subject, as so many on here do. Glad you didn't need the disclaimer.

If you love her so much- why don't you marry her?!

That's true in many cases but I doubt it is here.
