The WCM's coverage sucks. Other than Decatur games, a few 911 reports, and wedding announcements that later become divorce filings, it's just a rag of ads.

It's also very selective about who they decide is worthy of investigative interest. A county commissioner buys himself some electric play pretties, yet sexual predators preying on victims right under sitting judges noses barely get a nod from the WCM.

Also, about doing some real reporting on the awful city water in Bridgeport. Facebook is not journalism.

Too many cops. How are these people supposed to stab others and the rest of us if cops keep sticking their noses in and not allowing us to become victims?

OK 1031 I will take the bait- a cop can (and most actually do) go their whole career without stopping One. Single. Crime.

They are a necessary evil in a society- not heroes.

8:13. Due to your writing style and content, you sound like you or your spouse is on the cover of the wcm. the messenger is not pointing out your play pretties. They have uncovered theft of gas, use of county vehicle for 95% personal, and not working. If you did this to any other company, nobody would really be hurt by it. But we pay taxes in wise county and it pisses me off that you have been getting away with theft.
On your character.... I can not believe that your excuse, for not serving warrants, Was that you did not have back up. You have licensed authority, a gun, and a calm voice of reason to use when you deliver a warrant. Do you need a swat team to tell a family that they are late on rent and need to move out?? I use to think you were a good guy but now you really make yourself look like a spineless, weak, greedy thief. And I don't want to be crude, but you really are being a pussyfoot if you are really scared to hand out a warrant

Anybody have any update on the Doug Parr investigation?

608..i dont think the first post was related to your issue. If I am correct, that post is referring to the court reporter, who stole drugs from the county and was molesting boys in his basement. It seems strange that after a thorough investigation by the fbi and secret service that the story disappeared. It appears that there were many pillars of the community involved for such a big story to be trumped by divorces, births, deaths and garage sales.

As the Editor of the Mess once told me, "There's some things you just don't put in the paper".
