OMG if you believe in God give me money speech? How can anyone not see through that? And how in the world does same sex marriage change marriage between a man and a woman? If two people of the same sex want to live their lives together, why does that affect me, a heterosexual married person? The world isn't going to hell because 2 women or 2 men can live together and have a happy life. Yes the world is changing but it's OK!!

Stop using logic and reasoning, 2:26. It doesn't work on The Gov.

Barry,

Feeling invigorated by today's Supreme Court ruling, eh? Now, it's back to the "turn Texas blue" drumbeat. You people won't rest until we're all Democrats or at least sucking on the government teat. One world. One dream.

"Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try..."

2:26 -- Many changes in the world are not okay, so don't be a bleeding heart idiot.

Hey Republicans, your religious liberty has not been taken away. You don't have to marry someone of the same sex.

This has been a great week!

Are you seriously criticizing a politician for fundraising? I hope you started with Abbot because you're going alphabetically, because every one of them do it, even your president, who will likely never run for another office.

Abbott is redonkulous. Someone needs to put a boot on his wheelchair.

Join him in what fight? The fight is over and you lost.

Responses to each paragraph.

1. They did there job, like it or not. They had a majority vote. Check the US Constitution, that's how it is supposed to work.

2. God has nothing to do with government. There is no prayer in schools. Send me your money.

3. Except for liberty for gay couples, of course.

4. Amen. Hallelujah. Especially since the ruling by the US Supreme
Court specifically addresses this point and supports the 1st Amendment. Amen? Pass the collection plate please.

5. Meaning your rights, if you are not gay, which the SCOTUS decided today no longer matters, gay or straight....but send me money anyway.

6. Send me money.

7. I need to do nothing about anything, but send me money.

I hope his brakes fail when he's going down hill from 7th to 6th street.

I think Bu is criticizing Abbott for being stupid.

You should be able to relate to that.

Another thought that just struck me -- I wonder if Reverend Clementa Pinckney, who Obama is now being celebrated for eulogizing, was one of the black pastors that was against gay marriage? What would the late Reverend Pinckney have to say about the Supreme Court's decision?

Abbott is disgusting - full of himself.

And Wordy can't spell HIS governor's name. Figures.

Anonymous said...

When did marriage as defined by God become law?

Anonymous said...

This sounds like something Hillary would do.

So what you various anons are repeating one after another is that Governor Abbott (happy, 544?) should be held to a higher standard than every other politician, all of whom fundraise and all of whom are stupid, depending on who you ask. Meanwhile, your Democrat heroes are universally intelligent, handsome, brave, and have clear skin. Do you guys even realize how far along the Cult of Personality Trail you are?

MANY preachers are and will be against gay marriage for decades to come.

But legally, from the perspective of the government, it doesn't matter anymore, now does it?

Pompous freakin' moron.

wordkyle said...

820 - Not only have you decided to ignore the dictionary (again), but either through a calculated choice or pure inability, you've slung several words together without making a coherent thought. "MANY preachers"? Including the slain one at whose funeral Obama decided to grandstand, you forgot to mention. The specific one to whom I referred.

It's astonishing to watch Obama condescend to black audiences, mimicking their accents and manipulating their insecurities. With an upper-class upbringing in Hawaii and Indonesia, Obama has less in common with them than does your average Nascar fan. Obama disagreed on important social issues with the man he eulogized, yet he's celebrated for his performance. Astonishing.

That's what you missed, Dr. Johnson.

I'm much more afraid of Abbott than I am of gay rights.

Anonymous said...

It's gonna take an industrial size drum of Preparation H for wordy to get over the butthurt of reality.

Anonymous said...

Wordy doesn't recognise that you can honor someone for the content of his character without agreeing with his every opinion or position. I even (rarely) agree with Wordy but I'll pass on offering his eulogy.

wordkyle said...

755 - LOL. The reality is that you guys are so smitten with your own reflection in the mirror that not only do you engage in the shallowest of thoughts, you do it then beam with pride at your cleverness. The dissonance of Obama eulogizing a man who, if he had lived, would've been called a hater a day later, eludes you. Meanwhile you guys criticize Abbott for doing the exact thing your idol and every other politician does. And in your mind you're being clever. Savor the SCOTUS victories, pal, 'cause you're not gonna win much using your own mind.

Oh, you are pompous alright, no doubt about that one, dog.

Anonymous said...

The president, (and I didn't use a capital "P" on purpose) was about to get down and start sounding like a southern preacher with his voice. I was waiting for him to start dancing across the room and throw his head back!!

How many days till this moron is out of office???

wordkyle said...

117 - Oh, I'm sorry. Did I use a word you didn't understand?

Anonymous said...

WK,

Quit being all pompous now...making that boy look like an idiot. Wait...he did that to himself, didn't he?

Anonymous said...

5:01

Nope.

The more you post, the more you reinforce the concept of your pompousness.

You know, you've never once explained why the adjective does not apply to you.

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure this was the SCOTUS not the POTUS that legalised same sex marriage wordy. But by all means go to your default position of blaming Obama for any and everything. That's why you're a pompous joke.

wordkyle said...

717 - No, you've never shown that (short of copy-and-paste from an online dictionary) you understand how to use the word correctly. Which wouldn't matter that much if you had any real thoughts to contribute. Well that's not happening, so everybody gets to make fun of you for using words you don't understand.

956 - It's not the "legalising" that I addressed at all. It was how Obama made headlines for his "coolness" (which smacks of media and liberal racism) in his eulogy for a man whose religion opposed gay marriage, meaning he likely preached against it, which would brand him a "hater" in the Liberal playbook. I took the opportunity to point out how much contempt Obama must have for black audiences as he assumes a faux-southern/ghetto accent when he talks to them. Hillary does the same thing, much worse, but she also gets away with it. I point out that you guys accept such nonsense while criticizing Abbot simply for fundraising.

I realize that you can't defend your position with reason or logic, and it's amusing to me to point out that inability to the rest of the readers.
