Breaking: Supreme Court Upholds Obamacare (Again)

And we have instant comedy:

And some unintended media comedy: The opinion was announced from the court's bench at 9:09 a.m. It was released online in PDF form at 9:14.  But those media outlets still do this.

I'm not even sure what the governor means. "Take back our law"?

Obamacare quadrupled my health insurance costs (I have the documents to prove it).

Thanks, Justice Roberts!

The American people were overwhelmingly against the passage of the law that brought on Obamacare. Of course the liberals believe that the masses are ignorant and need the Congress to rule them rather than to represent them. If the people are ignorant then the intellectuals were just doing for the people them what they were too stupid to decide to do for themselves. That is what America has come to.

If 10:43 had any background in the topic he was trying to talk about, he'd know that Congress is not the problem in the case at hand. Congress did not write subsidies for the federal exchange into the law. This wasn't a congressional issue.

Rather, the executive branch and the Supreme Court read subsidies for the federal exchange into the law.

I thought you mght like to know that, since you're accusing other people of being "ignorant" (twice) and "stupid."

To quote a great mind, "That is what America has come to."

What exactly is The Gov implying when he says "take back our law"? We should ignore SCOTUS? Or Congress should continue to try to cripple or repeal Obamacare, because if at first you don't succeed, try, try again? (I mean, if you can't win the first 54 times, by all means, please continue to try. That's not a waste of time and energy at all.)

The irony of this coming out today... The same day I'm struggling to figure out how to pay for needed health care for a family member. Pre-Obamacare, this would not have been an issue.

I hope Obamacare has made health care more affordable for a lot of people. It had precisely the opposite effect on me. Obamacare screwed me over royally... Significantly higher premiums and deductible, with considerably less coverage. The plan that I was promised I could keep if I liked it? By law, no longer available.

Truly a sarcastic "Thanks, Obama" moment...

The "our law" Abbott is talking about is the one that lets him sue for millions when he's hurt, but keeps others from doing the same.

Abbott is another one of those career politicians that has been on Government provided health care and enjoyed the great things it provides him and his family. It ain't that way for everyone.

Who is responsible for appointing that Liberal Justice Roberts, Obama?

1:24 - you betcha these career politicians are on government provided health care. And others who are independently wealthy enough to be able to pay out of pocket for their health insurance can totally put them out of touch with those who are dependent upon Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid. Without government assistance many seniors who must be put into long term nursing homes would be devastated if they did not have government assistance, and I am NOT talking about lazy good for nothing bums. It is WRONG to lump all people into good for nothings that want to suck the government tit. For those who use our government for such purposes, they should be found out and convicted of fraud. GREED is the problem. Check out the millions and billions of dollars that are wasted due to fraud - and many doctors and hospitals are guilty of this. They may gripe about government funded health programs, but are the first in line to get that check when it comes to them.

If our system is broken it is due to abuse. So what else is new?

Amen, 1:24

And he received a massive personal injury settlement for what amounted to an Act of God. Then condemns those that seek the same sort of settlements.

The man has no shame.

Go down to Whataburger, order a burger that you would normally pay 6 bucks for, and get told by the liberal running the cash register, that said burger is now 24 dollars and the charge for the credit card you already have slid through the reader cannot be refunded if you don't like it--all because there are people wanting a whataburger and cannot afford but $2.50.
Simplest terms for the mental midgets on here that don't seem to comprehend it by any other means.

2:16 - no, he has no shame, and nor do those who voted for him. He is sickening!

Come on liberals get yourselves signed up. I'm sure Barry has signed up for it right Barry? Since it's so wonderful and all.

Well, I guess it's Taco Bell for me tonight. Cheaper than those 24 dollar burgers.

Your welcome 5:28

Katy Anders said...

3:50: It's not really an "it." No one is "on Obamacare."

We've signed up with private health companies - the same ones anyone else is isgned up with - that we picked through an exchange listing plans.

Incidentally, I have health insurance for the first time since I was 12 because of ACA. I didn't vote for Obama and it's a mess of a law, but I'm glad I have health insurance.

I guess 5:28 is finally going to get that crack lung looked at!

If the healthcare act is so great then tell me why congress and the other politicians are exempt.

Katy, It was Jonathan Gruber that wrote the law and called Americans stupid.
