I saw this paragraph in a Decatur police report that I was reviewing today. While processing a DWI suspect in the middle of the night on 12/4/11, they were called out to help with a major accident. It doesn't say where, but normally Decatur cops would only assist for accidents within the city limits.
Thirty one dead cows. 12/4. Never forget.

The cattle truck overturned on one of the ramps at 380 and 287 killing the cattle (yearlings)
Sounds like the driver was well on his way to being all hat and no cattle.
Your "never forget" comment could be misunderstood as disrespectful toward those lost on 9/11 since that is often used with that date. I hope that the Barry that I know did not mean it in that way. Hope you edit this remark to clarify.
We all missed it because it wasn't in the Messenger.

Lighten up, Francis.
How many of those cows were wearing seat belts? Lets get the whole story.
Poor cows- they never got to fulfill their life's goal of deliciousness.
Correction...27 were from the cattle car, and there was a report that 4 more fell from a billboard overhead. There was a report of a far off voice shouting "EAT MORE CHICKEN!" as the truck slid off the roadway.
BG must be a veg head and has no respect for bovine.
Should have sent Lt. Dan over there to rope them bovine!
