In my opinion, the best place for Texas should they decide to leave is the SEC. The SEC has much more prestige than the Pac-10.
Then again, maybe Texas decides to stay and Missouri goes elsewhere. If they do that, then it should be a no-brainer for the Big 12 to invite TCU. It is a win-win for both sides involved.
GOOOOO TECH! This shapes up to be an awesome TV exposure deal for all teams involved. Later on Saturdays means no competing with East Coast TV. New conference will own the evening Football of Saturdays. Plus great destinations of travel for games, cannot wait!
Travel schedule for teams in the big 12 / PAC 10 scenario would be horrible. Look how many games the basketball and baseball/softball teams play. They already miss too much school. Travel to corvalis, Oregon adds another day of missed school. The "student-athlete" should get a paycheck on top of their scholarship if the powers decide this is the way to go.
There are few things as unimportant to me as which conference a college belongs to. However, it would be a shame if UT and A&M wound up in different conferences and never played each other. They've got a long history together. Of course, Tipper and Al are breaking up after forty years, so....

If Texas leaves the Big 12, Tech will make Mack Brown stand in the electrical closet.

Uh Oh. If Baylor gets left out in the cold. Barry might need Adult Protective Services called on him. I feel he may turn UN.STA.BLE.
