Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

  • There was a flood due to a pipe break at the Dallas County Records Building with purportedly lots of "computer damage." Why do I suspect they didn't keep a backup?
  • Kids pepper sprayed at Six Flags and a band tries to incite a riot.
  • Saw a little first grade girl point a water gun at someone yesterday and said, "Say 'ello to my little frien'."
  • I saw The Hangover in the theater and now it's on cable. Funny, funny movie.
  • The greatest country on earth can't plug an oil well?
  • That was quite a trifecta: Gary Coleman, Art Linkletter, and Dennis Hopper.
  • Tara Reid is back to a Hey, Now.
  • Ate at the Blue Goose on Greenville on Saturday afternoon. It's right by the four restaurants and bars that were gutted a few months back back by fire, and they remain in the same state they were in right after it happened.
  • I don't know why Indy racing isn't more popular than NASCAR.
  • Probably the most surprising thing about seeing Wicked at Fair Park was how nice the theater was. And what a well run venue.
  • Disturbing yet confusing lead sentence: "Granbury, Texas - A North Texas man allegedly used a sword to kill his niece, but the woman's teenage daughter reportedly escaped through a window."
  • According to the Update, the town of Newark is considering abandoning its police force -- a bit of irony for the historically the most outlaw city in the county.

* If there is not backup to the records damaged at the Dallas Records Building, Dallas city administration is more incompetent than previously believed.

* Hangover is an insanely funny movie.

* The US could stop the leak in the Gulf of Mexico if we were Russia. The Russians have used NUKES to plug their leaking wells at the bottom of the sea. Source I am fairly certain, using the nuclear option would REALLY piss off the econuts.

* Barry posts one of his best ever Random Thoughts Girls and then says a gnarly skank like Tara Reid is a "Hey, Now." All I can say is, "That boy ain't right."

* The people running Newark need to be horse whipped.

I just threw up in my mouth after looking at the emaciated Tara Reid photos. More like a "Hey...NO!"

on the oil leak. follow the money.
the gov scientist are saying 12-15000 barrels per day. bp says 5000 per day. maybe the fine that is based on barrels per day has something to do with the estimates. the longer this takes and the more oil leaks out the more the feds make and the more they can bash big oil.

always follow the money

Open wheel racing was more popular in the US until the idiot that owns the Indy track decided to start his own racing league...

Starting in 2012 Formula One will race in Austin, TX. You can go see real racing then.

Come on, Barry. You have to mention the great actor Dennis Hopper's death if you are going to mention Willis's little brother.

NASCAR is more popular in the US because:

1. Almost every driver is American

2. The sport started as a result of southern boys making hot rods out of their cars in order to out run the revenuers while hauling illegal booze during the prohibition(and after)

3. Their cars look a lot more like the cars on cement blocks in the front yard than those IRL cars do

4. NASCAR drivers actually bump, rub and collide with each other INTENTIONALLY during the race.

5. Monday morning, during rush hour, you can imitate (insert driver name here) while commuting to work on any of the freeways in the DFW area.

Tara Reid looks like she needs in-patient help for anorexia. She looks BAAAAAAD and unhealthy!

Newark without a police force would ne somewhat akin to pulling all the guards out of the Huntsville state prison.

Tara Reid needs to go on the Herd Burger's double-double diet.

Check this out Bubear. You now have to tell the cops you want to remain silent.

America's ability to do anything will -- unless and until something big happens -- always be limited by the restrictive "rules of engagement" imposed by the special interest groups with power in Washington. The deep sea oil spill would not have happened if environmentalist groups didn't have so much power over politicians and the media. Drilling for oil in mile-deep water when oil is available on land is beyond crazy and ridiculous.

10:10

Do you honestly believe that if our sweet clean savior came down from heaven and gave the president the choice of either the spill ending right now or allowing the spill to go on for another month so the feds could assess bigger fines against bp, that he would take the latter? If the answer is yes then your rascist-based delusional tendencies have bloomed into full throttle insanity.

I think Tara looked better during her "Frankenbooby" days. She looks like a well worn stripper now.

The restaurants are still in their original post-fire state because I am sure everybody is suing everybody and lawyers are making so much money that there 185 different motions, hearings, lawsuits, injunctions [insert latin word of choice]that nothing can be done. Its called our justice system - look it up.

"I don't know why Indy racing isn't more popular than NASCAR".

Because of tooo many Southern dimwits who wouldn't know a sense of taste if it slapped them, well- in the mouth.

10:15 is right, there was a time when IRL-F1 racing was more popular in the US and rightly so- way, way more technically interesting and technologically advanced cars that reqire a little more prowess to drive and win than, "Go fast- turn left."

NASCAR- we ARE as retarded as every elitist Eurofag says we are.

Tara Reid, really homes? Really? I look at her I smell cigarettes and stale beer breath. And that body? If you can't do any better on the boat ramp at Wise County Park you got problems esse'

Nascar sucks! Darrel Waltrip sold it out to Japan.

1:06, people are allowed to like what they like. If you want to call names, why not direct your anger at all the people who have dumped Indy Cars...instead of being mad at people who remain loyal to what they like? You believe IRL should be preferred by people who don't like it. While you are at it, what should I have for supper, what car should I own, and how should I worship? Let me know, please.

Newark to eliminate their police force? Why not? Contract with Wise County Sherriff for coverage at lower cost and higher competence. What's loony about that? Several other small Wise Co. towns don't have their own police and some that do are vastly over-paying for that service.

newark, the historically most outlaw city in wise county? the problem is in the county area around the city, the crime rate inside the city limits is one of the lowest in the county. but king walker and his knights of the square table could care less. kind of hard to police over 900 square miles of county with one deputy per precinct and the rest hanging out in decatur
