We Interrupt This Program

Ok, I've finally found something that interferes with my posts: Two DWI trials in one week. I'm in the middle of the second one. It's like being in a test tube all day. But the jury panel today had two Liberally Lean readers on it. Kind of uncomfortable. Neither one made it to the actual jury.

And they shouldn't make it to the jury.

If you are the atto rney and two jury people are 'Liberally Lean' fans , wouldn't they be dismissed immediately? How exactly did that come up anyway? Isn't this Blog getting in the way of your legal career?

you should always strike those. They already know what an idiot you are

Based on the quality of the content of the majority of the comments left on Barry's Blog, it was probably in the best interest of Barry's client for the blog readers to NOT have been seated on the jury.

just sayin'The question begs asking; was it the defense or prosecution that struck them?

If I say I read your blog does that automatically discount me for jury duty! AWESOME

It's been a while since jury duty, but do they still ask, "do you know any of the lawyers, the defendant, etc?

Anonymous said...

Let us know how you knew that.

Do you or did you have to ask or did the Prosecutor ask?

Do names "show-up" from email addresses when someone sends in a comment?

Do people see you and say "hey, I'm so-n-so on your blog?

I would have never considered the thought.

Give us the scoop when you get the chance.

Yea that's good they don't make it, just imagine MzCreep making it she would know more than the the judge and both counsel...she would have small Black Men throwin roses as she Marched in...then declared the room silent while Lovie lowered her wand to lay judgement down on the weaker, lesser subservient Human subject...

You can bet your whatever Barry knows who we all are and likely discusses certain posters with his lawyer cronies.

This just could get a bit sticky in the courtroom, I'd think.

Doubt if we get a scoop 6:42, but may get a bunch of legal talk none of us will understand.

Excuse me 7:43, but your post sounds more like Wordypile than Mzchief.

I don't believe the blogging is interfering with Barry's legal career, I believe the legal career is interfering with the blogging.
Some of us have so little in life to look forward to that we actually wait with baited breath for the next blog

7:43, ROFL!! POINT for you!

Do the lawyers in a DWI case still ask potential jurors if they drink alcohol?

I think it would be interesting if a juror answered in the affirmative, then turned it back to them with, "yeah, don't you?

Sheesh.
