Another Twist

Probably limited interest on this, but if you are old enough to be familiar with the Cullen Davis trials in Tarrant County, there has been yet another odd twist involving hit late ex-wife, Priscilla.

Sad story. Even in his death, he caused pain to his family. Drug and alcohol addictions DESTROY. People "poo poo" that type of comment until it hits their own. I know I did. After having an addict husband and then brother, I can relate entirely to the destruction their actions have caused. Strangly enough, they turn on the people who loved them most and will rant about how they(addicts) have been "wronged" in some way or another. They seek sympathy and will make up any kind of lie(s) to get it and enabling. If you are an addict, you know who you are, and I hope and pray you will stop before you hurt more people. I used to have some patience for addicts, but now, I just despise them.

12:57--------

I cried through the whole movie, but didn't really understand the ending.

1:52 -
If you feel no empathy for 12:57, that's fine.

But there's no need to belittle someone who is obviously in pain.

Speaking of movies, sort of, well documentaries and such............

Did any of you Wiseguys see HBO's "Grey Gardens" yet? And having said that, have any of youse guys seen the original "Grey Gardens" documentary? I sure did like them both. I'm gonna watch the new one again tonight.

Who needs alcohol when you have morphine.

For your information, 1:52, you read a passage, you weren't watching a movie. I guess you needed someone to tell you that. And don't worry, one of these days, you'll be on the receiving end of what 12:57 speaks of. Or, you are on the delivering end. If so, I despise you too.

anon 1:52 here

1) It was never my intent to belittle anyone

2)She didn't seem to express pain, just regular old anger at a couple of losers.

3) If she was so obviously "in pain" would a blog where everybody is a frickin' comedian be the place to seek consolation?

4) You PMS'ing by any chance?

5) I really didn't understand the ending. You know, that part about despising people for whom she prays

Growing up a kid I just never understood the Cullen Davis saga. It lasted 4-ever, but that article helped a bit.

It's like an enigma inside of a puzzle wrapped in a mystery and topped with a tube top and a tattoo on the lower back.

5:44...let me clear that up. I didn't say I prayed FOR the addict, but prayed they would stop before hurting more people (they have already hurt themselves). They get no sympathy from me anymore because it IS curable. Just guess who doesn't want a cure! So, I despise them for what they cause to happen to their loved ones. But don't worry, as I said before.....you'll have your opportunity to "understand." One way or another, I'm sure.

wow. lot's of emotions going on between 2 people here!

5:44

1) That's nice. Intentions are key, although they are hard to read on a blog or email.

2)Anger yes, but obviously the source of her anger is the pain she has suffered. You don't have to be Sigmund F'in Freud to see that.

3) I have no way to count the number of reasons people post here. All I know is that her pain seemed sincere and I felt bad for her, amd you addressed her in a very callous manner - at least that is how I read it.

4) Ya never know, do ya?

5)She clearly states that she is praying that they stop using whatever they are addicted to. Her last sentence is another big hint that she is in pain.

I think you should watch out for the instant karma; it's gonna get you -

Breaking out in song - And we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun....

7:38, and 7:52, thank you both for your understanding and your kind words. I'm sorry if you have had to deal with the same situations. I just think it is time tough love abounds more than "excuses" for what addicts do. I'm sure you know what I mean. Thanks again.

I met Farr the night before the shooting. He owned a bar in West FW called "The Sea Hag". A girl named Candy with whom I was aquanted worked there as a waitress and had a special event for college students. Farr came by while she and I were talking and she introduced us. I followed the trils relatively close, but had forgotten about it until now. Seems the mansion where the shootings occured was dozed back in the late 90's. And for all of you warpped minded individuals; YES, SHE WAS!!!

Hey 4:19-----------------

Sorry about the theft of your line.
It's a good one and I couldn't resist.

I promise to return it to you post-haste.

I don't really know what post-haste means, or even if it's hyphenated, but damn, it sounds all lawyerly.
