A couple of weeks ago there was a news story of a very expensive boat burning on Lake Lewisville. So, as I tend to do, I was browsing around Flickr (which is a great site) and looked for pics from that lake taken in the last two weeks. That search led me to the above pics found here.

that is sad to see "Gabe's Toys" in that condition. for those who have never seen this boat in action it was always an impressive show. could be because Gabe owns a sex toy shop and video business :)
I'm having a hard time mustering any sympathy.
Lots of expensive, INSURED things go up in flames when the economy gets a little sticky.
It is amazing how billions of dollars are spent on sex toys, videos etc. in this country. Yet, ask the first 1,000 people you see in church or the next 25 teachers you meet or 100 folks at the next high school football game you attend and I'll bet everyone is "disgusted" by it all. Must be just one or two guys spending a few billion on the stuff.
It goes back to folks who look for security in numbers...if you engage in something that is morally wrong...it makes you feel better if other people are doing it. Or, at least pretend that others must be doing it.
How embarrassing is it to see CJ Wilson celebrating with the rest of the team after they've bailed him out of another blown save?

Things that burn (houses, cars, boats, planes, second homes) most always have insurance and owners in financial trouble. This is an unscientific observation.
Speaking of Lake Lewisville, does anyone remember that horrible accident on that lake years ago that absolutely maimed a young girls face? Everyone was sure that it was Dennis Rodman's boat that hit her, but no charges were filed. He moved his boat from Lake Lewisville to Lake Texoma immediately.
Maybe it was him and maybe not, but sure makes you wonder when he moved his boat so soon after that accident.
