As I went home to Bridgeport today, I was surprised to see some folks working on a construction site (I'm not sure what the building is, but it's kind of close to where the new hospital will be.)

looks like where they are buildin the La Quinta Hotel. If it is by the library and ball fields.
It is actually a Ramada Limited that is currently being built. The La Quinta is suppose to start construction very soon down the road towards the four way stop.
By the way the Hospital in Bridgeport is going to be great. The doctor's who have put their own money into this project at one point early in the stages accounted for 70% of the admissions into the Decatur Hospital. The Hospital in Decatur does not serve the people of the community, they are after the almighty dollar. If you don't believe me then use their emergency room and find out that they let the emergency room doctors form their own group outside the hospital which doesn't except insurance. Instead they bill you four times the allowable amount from insurance companies and then make you pay for being out of network. The biggest bunch of crap I have ever had to deal with in my life.
The best part is that after my son was admitted to the Hospital the insurance was accepted by the Hospital so I just had to pay the emergency room.
Back to the lone worker at the construction site - anyone want to bet he's Hispanic? Legal or illegal? That he's willing and able to to the job better than our local population?
The doctors refuse insurance plans because the proposed reimbursement sucks. It's the fault of the insurance companies, not the doctors. So, like I said, get some doctors that will accept all contracts and not make any money - that will result in some high quality care.

A hospital in Bridgeport? I forget about how retarded that is until I'm reminded.
9:52 - Considering that several prominent doctors are involved in this new hospital, I'd be careful with that word "retarded".
The Bridgeport hosp? I bet it's broke already! When does it open?
A funeral home would be a good idea.

8:16AM FYI, there may indeed be a hospital go broke in Wise county in the near future, but it won't be the new one in Bridgeport.

It is the La Quinta. It is supposed to be open by May. The Ramada is actually going to be behind Yesterday's closer to the stop light.
9;48, They excepted my insurance and I didn't even have to axe them if they would.
4:58---------that's frickin hilarious
You are right 9:48. All the Bridgeport Hospital has to do is get some ER docs that work for free. That will show the Decatur money grubbers!
ARE WE SURE THIS "WORKER" WAS NOT STEALING COPPER WIRE MABY WE HAVE AN EVIDENCE PICTURE FOR THE BRIDGEPORT POLICE DEPT.
Amen 10:56.
You speak the truth.
1:26 all the Bridgeport hospital needs to do is their ER doctors to ACCEPT insurance plans, which the Decatur ER doctors refuse to do.
