From a story from the Star Telegram about an Intoxication Assault case which caused the amputation of the victim's legs:
[Judge] Gallagher sentenced Jose Felix Herrera, 27, to the maximum 10 years in prison for intoxication assault. Herrera must serve at least five years before he is eligible for parole and will be deported to Mexico afterward.

10 years is not enough for the damage he caused. What a Pendejo!!
it will violate3 his civil rights to deport him. he deserves all america has to offer. everyone makes mistakes. whoever is sinnless cast the first stone. where is the aclu. where is lulac. it is not right.
who will we get to pour our concrete. who will do our labor.
He's lucky that this incident ocurred in the U.S., and not in Mexico. I'm sure the sentence would have been longer.......Barry what do you know about the Mexican Judicial system?
We take care of him in a style to which he's not accustomed for at least 5 years and THEN we commit him to a better sentence--send him to Mexico.
This lady cannot recover her legs just because Jose her wanter his Cerveza.
Being in prison for ANY amount of time has got to be hell. Ten years is a very long time... and so is 5. He could have very easily made it home that night without having an accident. Unfortunately, he wasn't that lucky and neither was the victim. It's the max he could've received for this crime so it's more than fair.
If she would have run him over , she would have gotten a free grease job and 25 points.
