Looks like former Bridgeport resident Allen Vaught (who recently won election to the Texas Legislature) ended up on the Criminal Jurisprudence committee. That's a little odd since he's never practiced criminal law (with the exception of a couple of court appointments in Wise County.)
But he'll do fine.

This is the guy who is convinced he saw BIGFOOT in Boonesville, TX...... I feel safer now.
