Hey, Even Jesus Got Mad At The Money Changers

Baylor coach Guy Morriss was shootin' straight when he let his feelings be known about the Bears being picked last in the Big 12 preseason media poll. "Well, it kind of P.O.ed me to be honest about it," Morriss said. (Source) And the fact that the Bears have finished last since the Big 12 was created may have something to do with the prediction.

Baylor should be booted out of the Big 12....put TCU in there.

For some reason, TCU just does not get the press. This year, probably 12-0 and in the Orange Bowl or something, yet the upper deck of the stadium will be empty. Last year, 11-1 with the 1 being a freak loss. Stadium half to three quarters full. I think all the conference moving they have done, 4 conferences in just a few years, really hurts the rivalry stuff and keeps the Fort Worth area casual fan from ever getting in the groove with TCU and the teams that come to town. They are always changing.

That coach isn't being very honest. Surely, that's not a surprise to him.

Baylor is doing exactly what it is supposed to do in the Big 12. Lose in football, and provide the tax and legal loopholes the rest of the Big 12 Conference needs.

I am far from a Baylor fan, but I feel they deserve to be in the Big 12. They may not be great in football, but they make up for it in baseball and as you can see from last year, Women's basketball, as well as other sports. It takes more than a football team to be worthy to be in the Big 12 conference.

Whatever happened to the old quarterback from Decatur. Chandler Dane? Didn't he go to baylor to play football?

Does Baylor have a good cross country/track program? I took my son to a cross country training camp held at the Univ. of Dallas this Sunday, and 3 of 8 college staff trainers were from Baylor!!

First of all, Baylor was the first college in Texas and therefore can be wherever they want.

second, chandler dane is on the roster but hasn't played.

third, baylor's cross country/track team is amazing (2 olympic gold medalists, duh) and THANK YOU anon 7:41!i wish more people considered football AN important sport, not THE important sport!

I think this will be a mile stone year for Baylor football. They have a new offensive coordinator that should be able to juice the offense. As your source said the Bears were just a first down away from beating A&M and/or Oklahoma last year.

Recruiting is better. Finally some kids are figuring out that you have a shot to play (rather than being the 3rd team quarterback who rides the bench for five years)

It just takes time (and luck) I would be PO'd too if I were Morriss
