Holy Crap!!! That's all I gotta say about that...
I am curious whether you got more than six scallops is a little sauce? Do you stop for a big Mac on the way home?
They are pricey and every other place inside the Gaylord Texan is too. It's a nice place to go for a special occasion but just couldn't drop money there all the time!
Maybe you should move on to defending white collar criminals instead of dopers and drunks.
Still can't believe I got a suite there in March of 2004 for $47. The owner of the Cross Timbers Winery in Grapevine put us up there one night when we helped him put on a dinner show at the Winery that Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines played at. He has become friends with the management team at the Texan and they let him have rooms at that rate when he needs one, and they have a standing invitation to attend his dinner shows which have various Texas artists performing. When I arrived to check in, they apoligized and told me my room wasn't ready, but a few minutes later they said it was and when we got to the room it was a suite instead of a regular room. Shortly after we arrived at the room, a guy from room service showed up at our door with a tray full of chips, candy, and cold drinks which he said was compliments of the hotel. I asked him if he had the right room, which he assured me he did. I even called the front desk to make sure they hadn't given us the performers room by mistake, but they assured me the treats were their way of making up for our room not being ready. I guess thats how we got the suite as well. I think the room price listed on the door showed the suite as being $500 a night. Classy place to stay if you can afford to pay for it.
