Hey Barry, while you're on the subject of freedom of speech, why do you keep shutting down the comments?

...good question 10:05.

...reckin' we'll get an answer?

...doubtful.

"Do as I say, not as I do." I think Nixon said that. LAFFO

That's exactly how the tone feels this Christmas.....first "conservative" became a dirty word. Now, it's "Christmas." Well, I'm not giving up.....Merry CHRISTmas!

.....this might be a wakeup call not to put stuff on here that could result in the removal of certain posts....

Isn't it a shame.

I for one will continue to say MERRY CHRISTMAS.....INSTEAD of Happy Holidays!

I hope some anonymous person out there will start being nice to poor little Barry. He does have little Barry feelings ya know....

its Christmas can't we all just get along??

Why can't we just all get along even when it's not Christmas?!

Very good point Dee! :)

Does getting along mean we have to agree with Barry and watch silently as humanists try to remove God from our culture?

Slowly but surely Soros et al use the ACLU to erode our religious freedom. The game plan: Go to a small town and challenge a cash strapped school districr or city government with an army of lawyers. They cave in heart beat.

The cartoon is on target. Liberals are for free speech as long as its not about God. If the Buddists want to play the sitar on the courthouse lawn let em'. If the Muslims want to bow towards Mecca three times a day at Eagle stadium let'em.

Happy Kwansa!

Why can't you religious types just be happy observing YOUR religion without imposing its current version on the rest of us? Observe your religion in your home and in your churches. Then let me observe (or not) in my own way in my space. I promise not to impose my religion on you if you'll keep your religion to yourself. Thanks.

6:03, you need to look into what this country was founded on and what our founding fathers believed. You people that think us "religious types" are forcing anything on you, go to another country where you have no freedom at all and you are tortured for not following the country's religion. We are all free here to worship as we please...however, it's you "non-religious" types that want to force your "non-belief" on us. And what you are seeing, even in the humble confines of Wise County, is that we are sick and tired of you people trying to silence our beliefs!

Rock on for Christ!!
Way to go 8:42 I'm with you!
God Bless You All! Merry CHRISTmas!!

Religious freedom really isn't free if I can only do it in my home and at church. Freedom means I can be a Christian wherever I am. It means I can speak about my beliefs and feelings wherever I am. That is freedom.

I also believe freedom is my right to not shop in stores that support things I don't believe. I believe freedom is the right to rent my house to whomever I feel best fits my desires. I believe freedom is for people to not shop in my store knowing that I am a Christian.

I will continue to say Merry Christmas because it is what I believe best states my belief but I don't challenge your right to say Happy Holidays. I will keep teaching anyone who will listen about Christ and the sacrifice He made for all of us to those who will listen. I will do it in my home, in my church, in my business, in Wal Mart and Chili's, wherever someone is willing to listen.
