That's Nice

“None of your civil liberties matter much after you’re dead,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). These guys never cease to amaze me. How have we sunk this low?

This is what happens when people forget who they work for. The day will come when "we the people" remiond them. Let's just hope it's not before our own "Saddam" take over.

.....yes, some of these politicians are amazing......

.....also amazing is the stupidity of the voters who put them into office..

Like the people who voted for Clinton.

Sen. Cornyn is just not the brightest light among several dim wits. Yes, we must acknowledge that a majority of ill-informed voters put him there. Hopefully a better informed electorate will improve in the future.

It won't get any better. Bush in many ways is no better than Clinton and the Congress will not get any better either. As long as dollars control who is elected, our elected officials won't really speak for many of us. It's certainly an imperfect system but better than the alternatives.

Still, when I'm dead, will I be worried with my rights?
