Good thing she killed that bobcat. We don't need any random wildlife around here, either then or now. Better all animals are killed...making more room for old junk cars and piles of used tin.

Harlem Stars...kind of like the Harlem Globtrotters JV.

I saw the Harlem Stars out in this part of the country around that time. They played a team made up of the male teachers at our school. They were much like the Globetrotters, with a comedian leader, prank basketballs, the bucket of water/shredded paper gag, and trick ball handling. I think they were more barnstormers, touring smaller towns than the Globetrotters.

I remember those Christmas decorations on Halsell... It was exciting to drive through town and see them on one night. And Immediately beat your parents down asking to go driving around looking at Christmas lights.

I remember that Harlem Stars game. One of the Stars had only one arm and when he was guarding the ball, would stick his stub in the opponents face and shake it up and down very fast. The waving sleeve was hilarious. I think Coach Simms was the recipient of that gag.
