Most of Africa was "founded" in the early 60's--many countries in 1960. The countries were going by their existing names for decades, that just happens to be the year the colonial European powers ceded power to the locals. The hospital listed on the certificate used the name that it was changed to in the 70's. That's disturbing.
It also listed his dad as being born in "Kenya".
Kenya wasn't recognized until 20 years after his dad was born.
