I voted for Obama because have an active and agile intellect. That decision was made for me by McCain/Palin ticket.
A free nation is a dangerous place. Our forefathers knew that as a matter of course. It comes with the package. If you would make it safer, you would remove freedoms. I'll keep my dangerous nation and I will accept the responsibility to protect me and mine, and to be a good and honest citizen.
I would also vote to remove weapons of any sort from most of the respondents herein!!

The words are authentic; a Liberal message it is not. In this futuristic story, Batman comes out of retirement when his "replacements," the Sons of Batman, are murdering wrongdoers for trivial crimes. Batman assumes leadership, offering to teach them his ways, and ordering them to follow him and protect Gotham. "This loud, clumsy, stupid thing -- this is the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it. We will not use it. Our weapons are quiet -- precise. In time, I will teach them to you. Tonight, you will use your fists -- and your brains. Tonight, we are the law. Tongiht, I am the law. Let's ride."

This was written in the early 80's for a graphic novel long before most of the other posters knew what liberal or conservative meant.
