The Aggies get an invitation to join the SEC so long as there will be no Big 12 lawsuits. The Big 12, as an entity, says it won't sue. Everyone other school says the same.
Except Baylor.
This thing is dead. Let 'em go. Baylor needs to scramble and try to follow Texas or Oklahoma wherever they go and, if that doesn't work, beg the Big East or even the Mountain West. This ship is sinking and it's time -- long past time, in fact -- to start looking for a raft.

As a Baptist Aggie, I am conflicted.
I think I will go to the Dixie
Chicken and not drink.
Leave it to a christian school to to think they are holier-than-thou.
"I wish I knew how to quit you."
-Baylor
Ken Starr in action. What a tool!!! Next thing you know they will prop up Bob Bullock's long dead, alcohol soaked body and demand to be awarded recognition of a national championship without ever doing anything on the field. Yet another miracle on the Brazos.
Football guru
I wonder what coference Baylor will have to sue to get into when all of this is over.
12:16- Awesome post.
Ann Richards is dead [thank God].
Baylor, welcome to Conference USA!!!
Yes, I'm still bitter about The "Whupping in Waco."
Yea right!!! has anyone ever gone to the Dixie Chicken without drinking..
Baylor isn't the only one holding A&M back.. no Big 12 team has signed the waiver either.
Orangebloods.com update this morning
10 AM - Was just told by two Big 12 administrators the SEC now wants all nine schools in the Big 12 to sign a waiver saying they will not sue the Southeastern Conference over the depature of Texas A&M to the SEC.
And I'm told the Big 12 schools will not sign those waivers.
Who gives a red rat's ass?
Don't expect alot of Baylor support on a reply as their alumni are typically all gainfully employed and busy during 8-5
Maybe Baylor's actions are part of a grand strategy.
One can call Ken Starr many things; but constitutional law rookie? NOPE. I think he has planted the seed of fear in every SEC member institution of Sherman Act issues down the road. This Act has killed hundreds of business decisions before they were even spawned due to risky nature of court decisions.
Simple Concept:
117 Total D-1 Schools
64 D-1 teams in Super Conferences
+
53 D-1 teams left out of any chance to win championship
=
Potential Coercive Monopoly against the 53 teams left out
Agree or disagree with this concept; mark my words…the 53 teams will be arguing this in-front of the SCOTUS if the super conferences come to fruition.
Maybe A & M can change the words of their lame fight song to Goodbye to the BCS
I am glad that Baylor is doing what is right for them. The aggie decision to bail on their contract will cost the bears A LOT of money. They have to do what they can to minimize that. They are doing what they think is best for their school. That is not any different than what the aggies or the longhorns are doing.
Stand up for your rights Bears:)
Idiocracy. 'Nuff said.
Lord God Almighty! You mean my Aggies will now be playing SEC mouth breathers, dirt clod eaters, and people who have carnal relations with farm livestock? And that's going to improve our image how?
My Other Brother Darryl
Lord God Almighty Darryl! Who won the last 5 BCS NC games?
How 'bout the Aggies do WHAT they want WHEN they want and HOW they want without ANY input from the Great Unwashed?
"This is to confirm our discussion yesterday during which I informed you that the Big 12 Conference Board of Directors unanimously authorized me to convey to you and their colleagues in the Southeastern Conference that the Big 12 and its members will not take any legal action for any possible claims against the SEC or its members relating to the departure of Texas A&M University from the Big 12 and the admission of Texas A&M into the SEC;"
Isn't the board of directors made up of member schools' presidents and chancellors, each representing their respective member school? Did they or did they not give clearance? Was Beebe lying? Unlikely. Or is this Baylor's chief pervert (and now others) saying, "Oh, wait a minute, can I have a mulligan?"
I became a fan of Mr star as I watched him rip Clinton in front of congress. The libs were yelling and grasping at air while he sat and waited patiently to speak again. how embarrassing for the democrats at that point.
Skippy, I thought you were going to shut up after your last post about this.
cant wait to see the ags pull their sabers on sum of those SEC teams. those people need a good laugh.
Baylor is being a bunch of babies.
