And Now Back To America

I saw this earlier today and had a huge question mark form over my head.  After I got past the fact that a hot chick was involved, I was confused as to exactly what the McDonald's worker prevented the girl from doing with the ice cream.  I had to google "coning" and came up with this youtube clip that has been viewed six million times.

So let me get this straight: Young America thinks it is funny to order an ice cream cone and then reach out and grab the ice cream instead of the cone. You've got a hand full of ice cream and you think you have pulled a prank on someone else?   Ummmmmkaaaaay.

That Idiocracy filmmaker needs to win some type  Nostradamus award. It's coming at us more quickly than we think.

I have to say that if I was the manager and I was already paid I would just let them grab the ice cream and then refuse to give them napkins. Let them drive around with sticky ice cream hands. I would say dumb kids but they look old enough to know better so I will just call them idiots.

Idiocracy, indeed!
That's the problem with this country of ours nowadays. Goofballs think up stupid stuff like this, and thanks to the magic of the inkernets, everybody with a camera (that's everybody!) thinks they have to try it.
You got planking and owling, and who knows what else. Kids have got too much free time on their hands

Coning was invented by a comic that is basically playing a trick on everyone who does that. That's the irony--you're the idiot, but you think you're pranking someone else...

As a McDonald's manager, can you really threaten someone with smashing an ice cream cone in their face? Especially when their juvenile prank will effect you in no way?

I'd love to read that part of the McDonald's employee manual. If it's true, SIGN ME UP! I will fill out an application tomorrow and start warming up my pitching arm.

Go ahead, I'll be more than happy to drag yer ass outta the drive thru window. Now THAT would be funny!!!

You won't get this kind of entertainment anywhere but here...

It reminds me of the bit Dana Carvey did when he had his 2 show series.
He would order fast food at the drive thru, go to the window and pay, then floor it without getting the food.

I agree it's really dumb. However, I watched the linked video and I caught myself chuckling. The reactions of the drive through workers is priceless.

Thank you, Barry, for letting me know that some people are smart enough to recognize STUPID when others (who are really the idiots)think "stupid" is sooooooo funny!!

I worry about our country. Seems like young folk, and even middle age folk, have no grasp on maturity these days! Very scary!

Oh, and were I the worker still holding the cone? I'd toss it in the car (driver's lap) and say, "ooops!"

Yep, I sure would!

If I'm following the McDonald's employee manual, that's assault brother. If you don't like the policy, take it up with Ronald.

Barry, man are you one uptight and self righteous know it all. This very blog is the cyberworld version of a "drive by coning" at a McD's......they're both silly and goofy. But hey, there are many that like silly and goofy and what is so really wrong with that? "Idiocracy" is a word you seem to embrace and label things quickly.......A highly educated, late 40's/early 50's man posts a bunch of nonsense on a website just for his own personal amusement.....shades of "Idiocracy' my friend!!!
