It's already become a police state. i.e. Warrantless searches, brutality,guilty before proven innocent, immunity to reprocussions from the falsely accused..etc. The police today are nothing more than Nazi Stormtroopers.
Or, don't beat up your mother and then keep walking when a police officer tells you to stop. What are cops supposed to do in the heat of a moment? Reflect? Consider the myriad of possibilities, emotions and outcomes? These superiors who pass judgement should be assigned the task of re-writing the rule books for cops to follow...if "detain a fleeing suspect" once in a hundred times involves someone getting knocked down, let's just rewrite the rules to something like "police will no longer make an effort to detain someone who is leaving the scene of an assault; and instead will just let that person, and others like them, go free."
The cops should arrest the jackwagon city council candidates in Rhome who put their red and white signs in front of people's homes who do not support them!

I think he hit her harder than he meant to. Cops are afraid of getting hurt. So they over react sometimes. Hope the girl gets some help.
First of all it seems that objetive reporting is out the window. The "on screen talent" has already labeled this event and escalated it with their slanted, uninformed take on the situation.
Next, there is a good chance that "Police Violence" is escalating because everybody thinks that they are special, can do whatever they want, and the Police should not be able to interfere.
The fact that there are video cameras everywhere and that people are willing to do really stupid things to get on TV doesn't help either.

If that cop had done that to my teenager I would have straight up shot him dead. Cops- think about that one and save a phone call to your ugly wife and making your retarded children sad.
That cop probably didn't expect her to stop so quick. If my daughter was beating me I'd be glad the cop stopped her using whatever force neccessary. She may be a teenager but she is as big as a linebacker and has no respect for authority anyway. He gets a not guilty vote by me, but sad if mom or dad did it we'd be charged with child abuse.
