Bridgeport Tank Trucks Yard in Bridgeport. No one hurt.
Was that the fire behind Family Dollar in BP this morning about 10 or so? Lots of black smoke, and fire depts from both BP and Decatur responded.
I think that's what happened when the 8th grade parents and freshman cheer parents found out that there are 26 girls now on Varsity!

1.New Cheer Constitution=giant mess
2.Tryouts held in March
3.Four parents file complaints and 3 parents win.
4. School board puts every girl that tried out on Varsity.
(not sure why they didn't just add back the 3 girls)
So....we have 26 Varsity Cheerleaders.
NOBODY CARES!

School Board very rarely ever over rules Administration ~ tells me it must have been a complete mess! But I would bet on the fact that the Administration never owned up to their mistakes.
Same old cycle every few years...ho hum...who cares!

I wanna thank the Electrical Dept. for a fast response on getting the power back on even though it was still raining and lightning in the area...
I know a couple of kids who don't have the grades, but lets put them in the national honor society. It's only fair.
I say that ANYONE enrolled in BISD schools MUST be a cheerleader!! Make it a prerequisite. Who needs all that other crap like math, englich, etc. Lets concentrate on what's important.

nhs at b'port hs is a JOKE.forget cheerleading..I want to know who the teachers are that decide who is in and who is out. Some kids didn't get in that had better grades than some who did get in. Explain that, please.
Wait, I forgot. It is based on popularity, not grades, or sports, or any of the criteria tht entry is supposed to be based on. My bad.
