Senate Report Released On Kenneth Copeland Yesterday

Copeland Property Near Newark, Texas

What the committee was able to uncover was an extravagant lifestyle featuring a $6 million mansion and an aircraft.
Auditors were able to determine that in 1995, 15 Copeland family members were on the church payroll, earning salaries totaling $1.5 million.
The Copelands' salaries then totaled more than $600,000.
The audit was able to determine that their $20 million jet was used for personal reasons including vacations and shopping trips.
The Copelands were also accused of operating for-profit businesses on church property. Also, Copeland allegedly received an estimated $2.1 million birthday gift from supporters urged to contribute to the cause.

Yep just one example of the "movers and shakers" of the world. They get filthy rich, because there's a freaking sucker on every corner; and, there are many more greedy people who join in their schemes. And, they do it all in the name of Jesus! If the bible is correct, guess they will get their final rewards someday.

Matthew 19:24: "And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God"

I am not a Copeland fan but why is it that with separation of church and state the government gets to regulate church while running state into the ground?

Funny that our elected officials are all about investigating preachers for riding on somebody else's dime while they do the same thing on a daily basis.

12:19

Regulate a church. Read the whole story. Copeland refused to cooperate with the panel. Yet another example of tax loophole for the wealthy and connected.

If stupid people send money in the mail for salvation...the recipient isn't a thief. Personally more power to him...rather he has it than the government.

Give me 5, 10, 20 thousand dollars today saith the Lord! Folks like tha Copelands go against everything Jesus Christ taught.

A three year investigation netting no charges of any kind for the subjects in question = job security for the politicians and bureaucrats involved. As others have pointed out, they're equally guilty of scamming the populace, they were probably just taking notes while observing the masters at their craft.
Personal vacation trips and shopping sprees in a jet (supposedly for the exclusive use of God) would be enough to get any for-profit corporation in hot water. The phrase "$6 million mansion" should be enough to alert the saps that they're padding his lifestyle, but it also brings to mind the phrase about a fool being parted from his money.
Most decent folks have their conscience level at the original factory setting. That prevents them from taking other people's money without providing some service or product in exchange. Preaching can be done for a whole lot less money than what he takes in - I've seen it done. And they're all using the same basic textbook. Is he interpreting the lesson millions of times better than others? That's the only thing he can offer...providing salvation is above his pay grade, regardless of how much he makes

Triple Fake Disgusted with people like that

The sooner people get god and government our of their lives, the happier they will be. The problem is society say we have to choose one or the other, and both are corrupt...

I think Ghandi said "I like your Christ, I just don't think much of your Christians". It certainly applies here.

Why is it that people think just because your a Christian or a Preacher that you should be poor? God says be faithful with your finances and it will be multiplied. Myself not being a fan, but who are we to judge?
