That really really stunk. Hope Denver enjoyed that early Christmas gift.
Obviously Dallas wanted to foul and no call from the refs? I hate those games where its left up to the guys in white and black shirts!
What really bothered me about the "foul to give" was after the shot the refs went to review the play to see if the Denver guy made a two or three point shot. Why didn't they correct the call then and call a foul? It makes me really think a lot that the refs "lean" toward one team or the other. The most we the fans get from the NBA was an oops we made a mistake it should have been called a foul. To me that is not good enough. If they fine coaches, owners, and players for things why don't they fine the refs?
Whether you back the Mavs or not, the critical no-call is a terrible incitement of the officials. Of course they missed or miss-called others during the game but the final one is inexcusable. It’s always wrong when the striped shirt guys decide the game rather than the athletes.
Did you see the re-play? The official is about 3 feet away, right in front of the Mav's bench with the coach yelling, foul him! So the Mav fouled (with the foul to give). Should have been Denver ball out of bounds with 2 seconds left. The ref just blew it! Season over (if it wasn't already).
I hope they enjoy this. Soon it will be football season and Denver is going to be in a world of hurt. Get ya Kyle Orton Jersey ready.

But why...did Dirk shoot the ball with 7 seconds left, no shot clock and a 1 point lead?
Cuban had a camera guy rush him as he was leaving. He stiff-armed the camera as the guy shoved it in his face. I would have done the same thing. He didn't touch the guys body, just the camera.

If you're gonna foul, then Foul the guy! Don't let the zebra's decide the game for you. Cry me a frick'in river..If you're going to base your end of game strategy on using the officiating, you're taking that chance. You hammer the ball away from Mellow and you either get the call or you don't, but he doesn't finish the play by nailing a 3 pointer to beat you. Pretty damn simple.
Ho hum, professional sports--how boooooooring! No pace, five million time outs, lots of advertising time to sell--good grief.
