I'm Declaring A Triple Blizzard Warning

This is at 12:25 p.m.

You know, I think were actually in for a pretty big snowstorm.

Edit: Courthouse closing at 1:00 p.m.

Edit: Paradise ISD is shutting down at 1:15 p.m. (But call to verify). I suppose other schools may be doing the same.

Edit: These are the largest snowflakes I've ever seen. Seriously.

Edit: It just keeps coming. (And, as some of the comments point out, the traffic stories sound like a nightmare.) If you have any good photos, feel free to share at blog2[at]wisecounty.com

It's coming down like crazy out there! (Now some of you yank mees are gonna say "Oh, that's nuthin, but around here, it's a big deal) I'll bet there has never been a time where it snowed TWICE in March, and in less than a week's time. Enjoy it while you can, kids

Hey Al Gore. The Nobel Prize Committe called and they want their medal and 900 thousand dollars back.

Decatur 5 inches and counting, they missed another. Accidents everywhere, thanks for 4-wheel drive in a Dodge Ram.

Good day to stick your tongue on a flagpole. Barry, you go first, we'll watch. Meet you at the courthouse.

WIMPS!! We've had 6 snow storms in the last 4 weeks and we hardly notice.

These are the second largest flakes I've ever seen. The largest was at the last Democratic convention.

Hey Sue, how's that highly taxed free health care working out for ya.

Notice to the ignorant: the term is "climate change" not simply global warming. The pole areas are both warming significantly causing changes in oceanic and atmospheric conditions. These changes are resulting in increased extremes in temperature (both higher and lower) and changes in moisture distribution. Get used to it: more extremes in all weather patterns. This little snow is only a tiny aberration compared with what we'll have to get used to.

Was in Alvord this morning and left at noon. Took me one hour and forty minutes to drive to Decatur. Uhh...18 wheelers, pickups and four wheelers off the road everywhere!

it took me 2 hours, 15 minutes to get from chico to decatur. at least 50 stalled cars and trucks along the way.

Isn't the term climate change an oxymoron? I don't think it ever stays the same. Ever heard of cycles and circles. Stop global warming by not exhaling. We all breath out CO2 and that's what Al says is causing it.

Rebecca Miller shall have her revenge on D/FW.

Hey Barry, post the pics of you in your suit and tie making snow angels!

Darn, I just check our forecast and your storm is actually heading our way and will be on top of me this time tomorrow.

And to the bonehead who continually knocks the heavily taxed free health care system in Canada - it actually is working well. And how is that heavily taxed war working out for you? Getting much benefit from it?

Pseudo, you crack me up; I was on the phone with a Bostonite when I got the notice that the school's were closing early. She said, "Are you kidding me?" I had to laugh...you northerners make me feel like a wimpus.

Sue, things are great. I sleep well and safely at night. But that will all change Jan. 20, 09.

Sure would like that Denton County Commissioner cougar to keep me warm tonight.

I talked to a Paradise bus driver. She sat on the road for 4 hours before dropping off her first student because of all the nimrods wrecking out in front of her. She finally had to return to the school and parents had to come pick up their kids.
