Prankster Almost Causes World War III?

Remember that incident last week where some Iranian boats were taunting some Navy warships? The news reports were that the U.S. got periously close to firing at the boats. "A video and audio of the Jan. 6 incident in the Strait of Hormuz featured a man in accented English saying 'I am coming to you. ... You will explode after ... minutes.'"

Uh, not so much.

Yep, reminds me of WMDs, yellow cake uranium, North Korean Nuculer (sp for Bush) capabilities and all that other wild shiate the Neocon warmongers try to scare us with. Pshaw.

P.S. Hi Wordbile - don't bother; just go about plasticizing and duct-taping your house; I'm sure you'll be finished someday.

We should have shot first and asked questions later.

What if he said "I am about to explode...I am coming in you".

We are doomed to repeat history. Gulf of Tonkin "incident" here we come again.

So let me understand...during this incident way out in international waters there are Navy ships cruising along, Iranian speedboats trying to pick a fight with them, and....a "prankster"?

So a little further inspection of the facts indicates the Navy commander showed due restraint in the incident. To the genius who thinks the Straits of Hormuz is "the high seas", please note it is about 12 miles wide and basically within Iran's territorial limits. It's a touchy area requiring mature judgment. Good thing cowboy Bush wasn't in charge or he'd have likely started another unnecessary war.

7:53 - Wrong! Another potential USS Cole incident. Iran would not be able to deny it if we had a body count.

"Hey...hold my beer and watch this" was editted out.

WMD's? Give me a year without any interference and an unlimited budget I could make you believe the US NEVER had the Statue Of Liberty. The only difference is it would be much easier to make it look as though the WMD's didn't exist.
