Speaking Of Pooches

Devon Energy buys the Wise County Sheriff's Office a drug dog. That dog is renamed "Devon." Dog promises to carry on the "War On Drugs" unless it involves a Devon employee.

(OK, two of those three sentences is are true.)

Edit: Getting lots of post (especially one from an anonymous coward who constantly emails me) that this story is three years old. May be true. For some reason it showed up on my RSS Feed today.

Does it look like our sheriff has shrunk? Maybe dogs are just getting bigger.

"Devon Energy buys the Wise County Sheriff's Office..."

Does this statement seem out of context? Does it seem believable? To heck with believable, is it entertaining?

OK, two of those three sentences ARE true. (not "is")

Sheesh.

All that damn dog knows is the secret sign given to it by the police officer to scratch and bark at something so they will then have some BS excuse to search your car.

What a waste.

He'll be useless because they renamed him. All he'll do is pee on tires and po-licemen's legs. Then somebody will just shoot him. What a waste.

Oh, P.S. I had a dog named Dusty and she got runned over by a damned old cattle truck. The guy was driving like a bat out of hell on a backwoods county dirt road. Bastard.

What's wrong with the Sheriff's pants?

Can't they donate a dog to fight the war on poverty?

I heard the K-9 officer has quit to take another job in the metroplex.

4:10 you know how bulky those diapers can get.

All male cops get those "you know whats" when they think about all that drug money they might be able to confiscate.

"Hmmmmm......maybe I'll get a big old Hummer soon".......

So they replaced the officer with a dog,4:18?

I think the Sheriff has a double-helping of peanut butter in those pants to give Devon a warm welcome to the department.

Hmmm... kind of makes the Frilly's Drug Nutrea pale in comparison. Pity.

This is REAL old news - Devon has been at the SO for a couple of years.

The dog has been there a few years. The K-9 handler did quit. He went to Watauga PD.

Hell i dont blame him for going somewhere else just to better himself than this county. He would not get any where here if he were to stay they, have to many brown nosers up there that already get under Walker or Capt Hank's desk and then some how they make a position for that person out of no where. It kinda like a person tat had came from Watuaga PD he resigned or got fired from over there and then Wise County hires him and then like 8 months later he a dang SGT. No wonder everyone wants to leave and better themselves. No one is going to get any where at Wise County with people like that. Deputy Jones was a dang good Deputy and he deserves better and Im very glad for him. Good Luck David Jones on your new job.
