Valuing Life

From the (normally) boring Morning News blog: The DMN Web site is lighting up with reader comments about this morning's story on Sarah Anne Walker [who is pretty and white] and why she has gotten so much more media attention than other women who were murdered in July [one pictured to the right]. Basic question is whether society values the life of attractive people or white people more than average-looking people or various people of color. We couldn't be that shallow, could we?
