ABC News reported at 5:19 p.m. CST that Rush Limbaugh has been arrested in Florida on prescription fraud charges.
And WBAP has been promoting his appearance in Dallas on May 11th.
Edit: The entire incident appears to be part of a plea bargain that has already been agreed upon (sounds like pre-trial diversion). I suspect that Florida law (or its bureaucracy) requires an arrest if formal criminal charges are filed.

got your facts wrong here - he is not currently facing new charges - this is the original charge from over 2 years ago...just the formal processing.

Unfortunately, the legal system seems to have allowed a plea agreement that allows Rush to avoid conviction. This pompous a** will continue to pontificate and obfuscate in the media.

Now I CAN admit that Bill Maher is VERY funny, even though his show is just a left-wing, Rebublican bashing, Christian-bashing show. But I appreciate his humor, not his politics.
4:13PM, I've never heard any of Franken's politics. I am speaking of when he was on Saturday Night Live. I have heard Rush's show for many years so I know first hand how unfunny and bland he is. Nice try.
When was the last time Rush had a position at a comedy show? Oh right...
To hear Franken talk politics with a humorous bent, try Air America (in Dallas it is KXEB 910 AM). That network is a small liberal attempt to counter the masses of right-wing radio talkers. Franken is on noon to 3pm. Jerry Springer is on 9am to noon.

Al Franken, after he left the SNL days, went on to write a book called "Rush Limbaugh is a Big fat Idiot". Since then he has become one of the leading liberal mouthpieces, yet still small time compared to Rush. He's been on Bill Maher a lot over the past few years on HBO...
You people still don't get it. I know what Franken has done after SNL. I don't live in an anti-reality cave as you do.
Amazing that Rush gets a second chance from you people, yet mention drug arrests here in Wise County and people start screaming for public beheadings.
